  1. i have some magic tree pe ones somewhere
  2. even if someone did headlight decals on clear backing we'd have an option. with clear backing we could then use those decals on easily available googly eyes and an a5 sheet of these imaginary decals should last a fair while. they wouldn't be perfect but unless you want to spend money on photo etched ones it might work for most of us.
  3. I always though the andy saunders version was kinda cool
  4. is it also called a 300 i6? if it is theres a 3d print file available along with one for an aussie ford i6
  5. very cool, nobody could tell that you started with a mazda
  6. it looks a little too sharp on the edges and kinda deep towards the back of the hood. Between the lights looks a little bit flat as well but neither detail is enough to stop me getting a couple
  7. the centre of the hood looks wrong but i'll still get a couple
  8. Very nice, looks like henry should have made them that way
  9. it looks like its available on the iceman site again
  10. I've used the yellow tins, but not the red tins (uk trade use version). Seemed to work fairly well but it was a bit thick compared to other primers. I still use it sometimes if i have nothing else or need to cover a large area like truck side or something with less detail. Its not a bad primer but imo there are better options if you want to save detail
  11. That was a fantasticread and scroll. Well done to all the contributors and I look forward to reading the book when its available. What really sold the story to me is ford uk sold a car that has a lot of the styling cues from these models called the consul capri (not to be confused with just capri) so it just made it all that much more believable
  12. It is a movie I have nevr watched and have no interest in watching, even though my friends reccomend it often
  13. diolex production transkit
  14. dab the point of your pin in paint then use it t mark the spot for drilling
  15. Thats the car i saw on the motorway outside edinburgh 3 weeks ago with a load of similar era cars, happy to see what it is now as it was with a fleet of bugattis and the like
  16. Cool custom, removing the roof gives it a pretty fresh look
  17. thats a mexican bug, there were never many of them over here and thats an earlier one than the commercial importers would have so i assume its a private import. Its interesting to see the differences between them and the ones we got
  18. this is the tamiya pearl clear over duplicolour flat black, not a great pic but its the best i have that shows the pearl. I would describe it as more of a metallic clear though as the pearl only really works on light colours. There is a good paint supplier called jawell paints in the uk. They carry loads of automotive paints and can put any colour you want into a spray can. Shipping shouldn't be too bad either since your on the mainland
  19. I'd always guessed the dtm meant it was a weld through primer. I'm sure they used similar cans for this on texas metal when they did the caddilac drop top
  20. you could try modellersresource.co.uk as they do a load of older truck parts. Theres also a store in holland but its name is escaping me just now
  21. you might find something here https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_5148-Peterbilt-281-1955.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel_(1971_film) https://www.tenfourmagazine.com/2014/09/special-features/the-duel-truck-10-years-later/ i didn't see any mention about 22 wheels in any of these articles but i just skimmed through them rather than read them so i could easily have missed those details
  22. The big news story in the uk for the next week is a 74 year old man has just got his first job.
  23. i think zero are only available from hiroboy, and i'm pretty sure they are the same owners too
  24. if you have a dungeons and dragon/warhammer game type store they carry tools and paints. The vast majority of the paints are satin finish but duplicolour primer (uk formula acrylic, i'm not sure if the usa stuff is the same) works well with it and it thins and lays nicely with tamiya thinners. They are available in a lot of metallic and flesh colours but vehicle specific colours are not part of their lines. Their weathering products are good too and very similar to vallejo or ak paints. They also have textured bases that are handy for rust under paint or corroded metals. The best i could describe the colour range is aliens meets star trek shades with battle/corrosion damage.
  25. laurens cat made an unwarrented deposit at the bank but at least it made a funny youtube video
