  1. Man, a Home Run Build! That Blue looks truly Awesome. Good Show.
  2. A Bittersweet Pleasure today. My Dad would have turned 88 today. He's been gone now about 23 months. I think about him all the time. I miss Him, but I'm glad he's not fighting the Alzheimer's anymore. He turned me on to model building. He built plastic kits in the Navy in Japan. For years I had an old Revell Hospital Ship that he had built. I should go get one and build it is his honor. I miss You, Dad.
  3. Bill, Great Sow's Ear to Silk Purse!
  4. Thanks. I think the Tamiya is a better bet for models.
  5. Again, Wow. What a handy way to carry spare plugs!
  6. The Box Bottom didn't show any snow plow parts. Just the long roof parts....
  7. Wow! What a great resource! Are those spare sparking plugs on the firewall?
  8. I've heard great things about the Tamiya Drill as well. Thinking about getting one.
  9. Thanks, Les for the great Tips. I'm really just looking for any Tractor wheels I can get. Beggars can't be choosers when looking for Model Tractor parts.....
  10. How sturdy is the Collet on this drill?
  11. I have lots to trade. Looking for Tractor Wheels. Two Fronts, Two Rears. Can be from any 1/24*1/25 kit. Built-Painted anything will work. Scratchbuilding a Doodlebug, and wanting some suitable Wheels. Thank You!
  12. I don't know how big the difference in parts is between the later Mount'n'Goat and the Hombre is. Not Much is my guess.
  13. Dang, Dave, When you pull out the stops, you build to Eleven! Sweet, Sweet Build! Good Show.
  14. Urmmm, Just No! Oatmeal, Yes, but Groat Cakes just sounds too much like Goat Cakes, and I'm done eating goats....
  15. That looks like a 'Total' from this angle. But Race Cars are different. Good Luck.
  16. "Don't sit on the Plexiglass Toilet"
  17. After Double Checking HPI Guy's video review of the Mount'n'Goat kit, it looks like both the raised and the stock springs are both in the tooling. So you can life the Jeep, but you are on your own if you want bigger tires.
  18. 7 Kits in this Update! Just when I get a bit discouraged by the updates where the show only 2 or 3 kits, then you get one like this. I am betting the September update will have even more interesting kits, as that is the last update of kits that can be almost guaranteed to be in time for Christmas. I think all of those kits will sell well, but I'm only after the Jeep. And, it was very helpful that Chad had the actual grill part for the S-10 Extreme. That was a great touch on Round2's part.
  19. I just double checked the video. No Snowplow on the boxart, or hinted at anywhere else. Looks like all we get are the long roof parts. Looks like the Lifted Parts and Extra Rims, and huge tires from the Mount'n'Goat are not here. So, a much more 'stock facing' kit, as they say nowadays. Looking at a freeze frame of the bottom of the box, It looks like the interior door panels have not been brought back to full length. You do get the Half-Cab roof, and the Long Roof parts, Two sets of chromed jeep wheels (and a possible set of steelies), and 4 of the very old, but period correct "Goodyear Suburbanite" tires. Expanded Stock Decal stripes and options on a huge new sheet, and the the Light Bars and Sirens to make a convincing Sheriff's Jeep. (Although I don't think there are any L.E.O. markings on the sheet. The Large Hood Scoop from the Last version is still on the trees too. A nice upgrade, not as fancy, but still worth having. YMMV
  20. Steve G. has it right. Good Body Surface Prep. Good Primer Coats. Good Paint Colour Coats. The key is doing each step as well as you can. And expecting that there will be duds, and recovering from them. If you don't already have a Paint Stand, get one or make one. If you have some old model kits, you can use them for 'test mules' to practice painting techniques. I'm sure others will chime in to expand or correct my thoughts. Good Luck.
  21. Glad to have you here, Mon. How many kits are there? Do you have a list of the kits? Any Photos showing the whole collection? Those are some of the basic questions that will need to be answered in order to help you out. Thank You.
  22. I sold Motorhomes and Trailers in the 1990's. I can smell that Winnie from here. You have nailed the look & feel of those babies to perfection. Outstanding work!
  23. Man, that is some fine painting on those pinstripes.
  24. You did a great job on this. The Blue looks very period correct. Good Show.
