  1. There are several magazine articles about that A Model. It was a one-of-a-kind vehicle, designed for delivering mail in deep snow. I've seen photos of it taken in the last few years, so it survived a very long time. The tires are unique and possibly never to be restored.
  2. Thanks, Steve! If it isn't too late, can I suggest that they include any spare Flares, Spoilers, Wings, Ect that may still be in the tool, please! Any extra bits that night be still there. All the variants of the kit, seemed to revolve around adding different Air Dams and Flares to the kit, as the major parts never changed much. Thanks. P.S. You saw the ThunderZ I posted. Be really great if the parts for that issue could be found.
  3. Back on topic. I seem to remember from the All New Ford Pickup issue of SAE that compared all of these kits, that some wheel swapping was needed for a truly accurate Factory Stock build. The wheels needed for the 4x4 were wrong in the kit, but were actually offered as an option in another tooling. Or I could be badly mistaken. It happens more often than I care to admit these days.....
  4. I hope we can get the parts for this one. Over the top in all it's IMSA Glory. Hawk 312, those wild body parts are what make the kit for me, as otherwise it is not that great a kit, IMHO. Almost no engine options, just and endless series of different wheels and flares, scoops, fascia pieces, and decals. MPC got a dozen variants out of what is a pretty basic tool, which is great, but the kit itself was never really one of the better Camaros.
  5. Who'll be the first to build it in 1/24 scale?
  6. Colour and Car are both great. I assume MCW would be the best place to source the paint for a model kit?
  7. Looks like it is part of Star Models, now. I've purchased from Star within the last 90 days. They were okay to deal with. Worth an email to Steve, I think. http://www.resinrealm.net/Star/STARModels.html
  8. Math is hard. The "real world" is unforgiving....
  9. These look like they were scaled by the marketing dept. They are "Shelf Scale" to best fit the boxes, marketing had already designed. Sad. Limits sales to just Yellowstone fans.
  10. They all look like that now. Clean Packaging is a lost art.
  11. Yep, Mike, me too. And yes, Chris seems to be very well aware of what is said about him, both here, and at the "other" forum. And, yes, he appears both not to care what is said, and to be 'trolling' folks, at least mildly. After all, he is building 104 kits a year, provided to him as freebies. What are you doing....?
  12. Sorry, That I can tell you nothing about the cars, as I have never owned any of those. However, I do know this much. Otaki was one of the first Japanese Model Companies to fully embrace 1/48 scale WW2 aircraft. In their day, Otaki's WW2 Fighters were some of the best out there. The had engraved panel lines on their airplane kits 10-15 years before any other company, and often included a full colour side view painting in the box as a helpful guide., and they were one of the first to offer multiple markings for the subject in the same box. So, Otaki (and later Arii) WW2 Planes are still decent kits 50 years on.
  13. I had an '88 Samurai. Great little ride. I never got the Fujimi kit, as I did not like curbsides. I should have just bought one.
  14. Wow! Great execution of a neat idea.
  15. Thanks, Roger. I found it.
  16. I can't seem to find a good clear shot of the New Decals. Where is everybody finding one clear enough to read the Engine Size? The Hobbynut link did not give me a very clear image.
  17. Nice Clear Photos! Thanks!
  18. Read over on the Other Board, that these kits are supposed to have 2 intakes and 2 hoods, so that you can simulate a FOMOCO or GM Motor. It will be neat to see what else might be offered as build options. Probably just one kit, and many, many decals....
  19. I'm showing my age and upbringing. I agree with ESPO. My first thought was, "What a Waste", Only later did I think, "That's Cool!"
  20. Just plain Cool! Great use of left-overs.
  21. I've never even seen this kit before! What a Ride. Can't wait to see you build it.
  22. 7am, and 88 deg already. 'nother Scorcher today!
