  2. I hope somebody from Moebius is reading this. If not dealt with, this issue could be a showstopper for future sales. I know that I'll be buying the wheels/tires out of this kit as it get parted out, as that is all I want from this kit anyway. I'm holding out for the F-250 4x4, that is supposed to be next up.
  3. Rob, that is the $64,000.00 question. My Guess, with a different kind of Leadership the answer would have been "Yes". Given who is in charge today, the answer will be "No". So, prepare for the 'water wars', leading to the population shrinking in the next few decades.
  4. Unclescott58. Some of the early Revell Ford '64 T-Bolt kits have a similar logo on the decal sheet. 2 of them. Be worth looking at the box art to see which ones had it.
  5. For the Pulled Pork kit. It was First out in the '80's as the "Puldozer" Then the "Mad Mudder" in the 2000's Now it is the "Pulled PORK" It was made from this kit. In order to get a close-to-stock version, you can kit bash with this pickup kit to get a stock hood, suspension, rims, and engine. What you cannot get are the Back Seat and "Topper or removeable shell" over the back. But I am thrilled to see it return! Good to see the '39 Chevy, but sad that it still has those truly outdated wheels. As noted by Jim B, the Mack and Bison big rigs are 1/32 scale. For all that, very sharp kits. As for the rest.....Except for the '32 Roadster, are meh. Good to see the TD "Cop-Out" reborn as the "70 Plymouth Funny Car" It still has the light bar. (Which I'll be getting a couple of when eBay guys start to part that kit out)
  6. I can smell the Rust, and stale interior! Absolutely Superb Weathering!
  7. 106 Today. Was 109 Sunday. 100 the rest of the week.
  8. I'm 6'1" and I found the Shorter CJ-5 to be a squeeze. If I bought another CJ I'd get a '7 too. That extra few inches makes a difference. I bought the '5 because it was believed to be a better Rock Crawler because of the shorter wheelbase, and that was something that was very important to me at that time. I'd prefer the greater comfort of the CJ-7 now, that I'm almost 60. My advice. After you finish the Model, go buy a real one! More Fun (and expense) than a barrel of puppies! 30+ years after selling it, it is still my favorite car.
  9. A few things to notice in this photo. 1. It has tiny marker lights on each side of the radiator. 2. The elevators are drooping, which means he hinged them.... 3. It has a (then) current License Plate. 4. The prop looks like it does not spin, it is only bolted in place. 5. The lower wings act as front fenders.
  10. The CJ-7 has more legroom, if you are tall. I had a CJ-5 and it was a tight fit. Your Colour choice is great! It looks very good.
  11. I've been using the aerosol spray Easy Off. I did not know about the bottle kind. I'll have to look for it.
  12. Great Build! I like the kit, and I am glad Revell tooled it.
  13. I've reached the point where, I have given up really caring, until I see what it is. I doubt it will be anything too spectacular, though.
  14. Not a T radiator, more like Dodge or Chevy, but you point is well taken.
  15. Add some Dealership Sponsor Graphics to the Tow Vehicle to justify the Fancy Rims on the trailer. A dealer (especially in SoCal) could justify the expense of the rims. Rig looks very Nice!
  16. I have the whole series on DVD. I show it to my Grandkids sometimes. Great Build.
  17. This would make a great Heavy Haul Truck for the lower 48, too. I've seen a few Heavy haul Trucks at work, and this one would fit the bill.
  18. We had 5 Parrots. 4 Indian Ringneck parrots (or Rose Ring parakeets) and one large Amazon. We are trying to cut back on things, (Fewer Pets, Fewer Bills) so we had 2 parrots my wife liked and 2 Bonded Brothers who were good parrots but hated one of the first pair. So we could not have all 4 out at once, or there would be fights. So, 4 of these. We sold the 2 brothers to a family here in town who seemed really good with the birds last night. The house is 75% quieter this morning with out the brothers. Even the Amazon is calmer.
  19. I got a Big One for this topic. Late Monday night the Air Conditioner stopped blowing cold air. In California's Central Valley, with 105+ Temps, this is a real Issue. I called our usual A/C Service Company to schedule a visit. I expected that it would be Friday or Saturday, due the the heat and workload. The woman on the phone was very curt with me, and asked if I was a previous customer. I told her I was, and she verified it on her computer. Once she did that, her whole attitude changed. She was able to squeeze me in the next day, on a 1pm-3pm slot. I was happy to be seen next day. Tuesday afternoon, we start clock watching. At, 2:45 I call to see how things are Going, and I am told that we are still on the list to be seen. By now I am having the " Got to have a New Unit" Nightmare, and wondering what the payments will be on a new machine. Keep waiting... At 4:45 there is a knock at the door. A/C guy is here. He goes up, and comes right back down. I figure it is bad news since it was so fast. Nope, It was a blown condenser, he has one on the truck, and he can have it fixed in half an hour, for less than 300.00. Twenty minutes later (told you he was fast) the A/C is blowing cold, and all are happy. Had a cold soda in the fridge for him. He said normally he would not take one, but it was 106 Tuesday, and he was beat. Gave him the Dr. Pepper and he was good to go. So, what was looking to be a 10 Thousand Dollar Nightmare Tuesday morning turned into a fixable problem, I could pay for. I am well beyond 'Pleased' and am now at 'Totally Gratefull' P.S. and my wife sold our two extra Parrots last night to some really nice people! Less mess for us, and happy new owners.
  20. I am building the AMT '68 Custom Corvette kit. I had carefully separated out the small parts from the Body/Interior/Chassis & Chrome tree. I left the Chrome and Body in the factory bags, and started assembly of the motor and smaller parts. I had the small parts in a One Gallon Ziplock Bag. Went to get the body painted, and the bag with all the small parts has gotten lost! Not Sure when , or How, but I have misplaced the small stuff. I've heard of dropping a part and having it go Twilight Zone, but never half a kit!! Tore up the Hobby Room and Garage looking for the bag. No Dice. Going to have to buy another kit. Not life threatening or really costly, but it is an Irk! I figure that I should hurry and get another kit, so that the bag of parts with the Built Engine will show up sooner. Update: Parts Found. Of course, NOT where I thought they would be. All's Well, That Ends Well!!
  21. Is this still on schedule?
  22. Tire Questions. Does this kit have the same tires as the other Ford Trucks, or is there a new, Heavy Duty tire in the kit?
  23. And he is on the same streets as you are, Steve.
