Upcoming Car Kit News from NNL Motor City
stavanzer replied to tim boyd's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
My guess is that Blitz/Revell has a stack of paid for, new tooling for these iconic Street Rod Fords. The have a long life as a Money Printing Machine, after the bugs (of whatever variety) have been worked out. Sooner or later, all versions will be released. But, in what order, and in what permutations? I have no clue. If Blitz/Revell is like most companies, they are as anxious to get the product on the shelf and making money, as you are to buy it. So my last thought is this. "Patience, Grasshopper" We will see them when they get here. My only other suggestion would be, if you fear that you'll never see them again, purchase a whole case of them, just to be safe. -

A K-Max! Glad to see one of those. -
Y'all know that you have to throw away any Exacto (or any other) Blade that cuts you? Old superstition I was taught by my Grandfather. Once a blade has tasted Human Blood, it wants more. Unless the blade is a Fighting Knife or Sword, any other blade that cuts you, should be trashed. It may be silly, but I've never kept a Jackknife, Hobby Knife, or Razor that cut me. Never been cut by the same blade twice.

Steve Earle brings it home for me.

I want the General and the FLC. I'll have to get one of the 1/24 Trailers for the Freightshaker as well.

That looks like the Aurora Kit, of the Lochkeed Tail Sitter. And, Your Dad's Pedro has the Anti-Heat Seeker exhaust extension too. -
I am very sorry to read this. My deepest condolences for your loss, Vince.

I really like that poor Palmer Vette! Sort of an Acid Trip version of the car. What was IN the water at Palmer?????

I hear you. Shortcuts like this are why model companies get bad press.

This looks like a fun build. I'd have never thought about doing this with a Paddy Wagon. A Snake Says "Model On!" -
Would this body help your project? It might have the trunk deck you need. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/amt-8667-36-plymouth--210218

Those HH-43s were excellent fire fighting helos. The down draft from those twin rotors could clear a path through the fire around a crashed plane. They saved a lot of lives from planes that crashed on base. Also, Aurora did a kit of the Lockheed tailsitter. Ultra rare, but not a bad kit. -
Had a #11 roll off a table, and stick into my thigh. Went in almost the whole length of the blade. Took almost a year before that one was totally healed, and I still get aches in that spot sometimes. 20 years ago, and I suspect that the muscles never did mend properly.

I'm about ready to buy on of these. I'm not a Van Fan normally, but this kit pulls me in. -

Dots NIze! Some fantastic work there! That Police Car is great, too. -
Baja Bronco correct body
stavanzer replied to Madd Trucker's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
IIRC, a few of the First run of Baja Broncos were shipped with the stock Bronco body, (without the rear fender flares). That is the only body issue that I can recall. Given Revell's new business model, there seems little hope of getting anything from them. -

I did not know that Air Classics was still around. I'll need to dig up that copy. The Aero-Bullet was easily the worst American plane ever built. -

I'll submit this one. http://www.aviastar.org/air/usa/christmas_bullet.php https://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-christmas-bullet-was-the-worst-plane-ever-made-1825187889 The Christmas Strutless biplane. Easily one of the worst planes ever built. Two Built. Two Take-offs. Two crashes. Two Dead Pilots. Horrible plane. -
Maybe a Base Impala Drag Car?

And think of the Cross Kit possibilities with the Two door. I'll bet Round2 is aware of them as well. I will guess that by Dec 2021 (two years from now),there will be a "new" kit of the 2 door as well. Not sure how it will be marketed, but I am pretty sure that we will see something like that.

Brewster had the 'reverse-Midas touch'. Everything they tried eventually went to Shi%. Knowing what we know now, about the 'Deep State" and Money Laundering, I'd be little surprised to discover that the Brewster organization was a "Front" for other, things, and that after the first Gov't Contract was awarded, things just went downhill. It was never intended to be a viable concept, and then the war happened, and Brewster was caught in the financial crossfire. Mind you, this is not a slander for the many fine people who worked for them before and during the war. Talented workers gave their best, even if the company was a shambles. -
No, the stock "Gangbusters" Van. the remains of the '32 Chevy live on as a Roadster kit.
