  1. Outstanding Charger, looks like it just rolled out of the local High-School parking lot back in the early '70s. Of course the kid would have to nail it and "repave" the street. Really like this one.
  2. Excellent build and I see the mechanic left his suspension adjustment, carburetor tuning tool laying on the window sill. Sure wish I could get the hang of weathering like that.
  3. One place I buy plastic is the local sign shop. They do a lot of signs in different thicknesses of styrene and will often have leftovers pieces. The last time I checked with them they had just thrown out a bunch of cut pieces , but I did get a couple pieces of stock they were not sure they would be using. I have asked them to hold their scraps, but they do not have enough space to store anything, so they will not keep the leftovers. Anyway, if there is a sign shop close by check with them. Oh yeah, I am looking forward to your build on this one.. I like building trailers.
  4. I'm not really sure but I think this may be a real car with the engine detail removed. Really beautiful build of one of my favorite Fords. That color combination is simply outstanding. Two thumbs up, because that is all I have.
  5. Simply amazing creativity. Like the way you think out of the box, and the results appear to be a natural part of the build.
  6. Really sweet Ford sleeper. If it is like the car in White Lightening it would also have an automatic transmission along with the four-speed. When "Gator" was running it the sound track had him shifting gears, but when he parked it you could see him put the column-shift lever into Park. Still was a pretty good movie.
  7. Outstanding build. Really loved those old MOPARs, back then I was a strong Chevy man, but still loved to watch these race. You have done an excellent job on this replica.
  8. Super nice looking T-Bolt and that color really pops. I think that new camera will be a keeper.
  9. Excellent artwork. Those are, in my eyes, museum quality.
  10. Let me see if I understand this discussion. The ferrules as shown in the picture are to be used as a distributor body (the yellow part) and the aluminum part will be the shaft. To use them nine pieces of wire would be glued into the yellow piece and routed to the plugs and coil. Is this the idea? If so that would definitely save some headaches, trying to scratchbuild them. Right now I am using different diameters of either styrene tube or aluminum tube.
  11. One of my all-time favorite Fords. You did an excellent job on this one.
  12. Absolutely mean looking machine, except for the blacked out headlights. I had a 65 SS 283 4 speed, loved it, wrecked it, and my dad sold it before I could get the money together to rebuild it. That one just might make me reconsider my affinity for Fords. But it has to be rear wheel drive.
  13. Also love the Rabbit. Owned a 69 in the late 80's, it was a blast to drive. I bought it used and it had a problem of shutting off at some of the most inopportune times, like going down the main drag on the way to work. I took it into a couple of VW specialty shops and they could not find a problem, it never shut off with them. The last one called and said to come get it. When I got there the car was not there, the mechanic told me they had sent a wrecker out to get it. The shop owner had taken it out for one last test drive and it died on him. They finally discovered a phenolic disc in the steering column had a crack in it, the ignition wires were attached to that disc, occasionally the crack would open and of course that would shut off the engine. Problem solved, loved that car. The Revell Street Wheels (?) version is still available, I picked one up at Michael's a couple months ago. Can-Con do you have any other pictures of that turbo set-up in the yellow one? Mr Horsepower 78 I like what you are doing to this one. Keep those updates coming.
  14. One of my favorite non-Fords of all time. That body style is pure sex. This is a good looking build, would like to see some more photos.
  15. Going to be one good looking Impala. Keep those updates coming.
  16. Mighty nice looking Fords and three of my favorite drivers. Looking forward to some updates.
  17. Got mine yesterday and did a quick glance through it. Some of the "Sketch Pad" has got my mind (what there is left) to working. Sure glad to see it, it is like having an old friend you haven't seen in awhile come by for a visit.
  18. Thanks for that clarification picture, I stand corrected. Still one really well built diorama.
  19. Was definitely a great show. As usual I sold a few and bought a few more. Got to talk with O-man and his son. The only problem I saw was the average age of attendees is probably 50-55. Almost every year in the past I have had the opportunity to give a kit to a young person who is being shown around by his model-building dad; that didn't happen this year.
  20. Very interesting build, I can almost hear the weapons firing. As the others have said, your attention to detail is outstanding. My only concern is the footing for the fellow behind the 50 caliber. With the recoil of that weapon I am not sure standing on the edge of a pick-up bed side would be sufficient. Maybe I am missing something. Either way I really like the work you have put into this piece of art.
  21. Here is a VW gasser I built a few years back. I used the Revell "Flower Power" really had to sand a lot of body flash. Dropped the front end, sanded slick a couple of tires, scratchbuilt the roll cage, intake manifolds, and stinger.
  22. Beautiful Sunliner, that is some mighty fine looking chrome work. I converted the Styline kit to a Starliner using the roof from a 60 Starliner and I thought I was going to go ballistic with all that BMF.
  23. Too late I switched to Imgur and am fairly well satisfied with it, although I do have to reeducate myself every time I go in to post a photo.
  24. Excellent Effie, really like that color on this one. I have a feeling the driver will get very used to blue lights in the rearview with that exhaust system.
  25. Great looking build. Only in Dubai would they have a Lambo for a police car.
