  1. Bay window camper would be very interesting. As long as it's a full kit, and not a Revell Easy Click version.
  2. The seats look tedious, but when done right, as you've done, it's worth it. THere's a part of me that wants to find two more of these kit and build the Knight Bus from Harry Potter. My kids would dig that.
  3. I was wondering about that multi-piece body and glue lines after painting. So it looks like there is no problem with building the body first, then just sliding it over the completed interior once painted. That's good news for sure. Good idea with the brass tubing as well. I've only just started researching and making notes on assembly for this one. Will hopefully be starting my build early in the new year.
  4. When its all said and done, I'm going to have a huge pile of unused Coke decals. Add this one to the pile, as I like the subject matter.
  5. It was featured in an episode of The X Files around 94-95. Mulder and Scully went to Arecibo to investigate reports that it was secretly receiving transmissions from an extraterrestrial source.
  6. Guess I should snap some pics of the kits I'll be using.
  7. Excellent job on the paint. And that front wheel fix is super easy and smart. I'd have probably tried something way more complex and involved, creating hassles for myself.
  8. I like it. Too bad the decals yellowed over time though. Still...nice build! I've often thought about adding lights. Did you paint the underside of the body black to try and limit the light bleed through?
  9. Really though, I guess we don't need it anymore, considering that we already know about the Galactic Federation and their Mars bases. https://globalnews.ca/news/7508152/aliens-galactic-federation-israel-trump/ Too bad they won't let us join. Seems they're smarter than us anyway.
  10. AMT sure are getting their money's worth from the '77 Ford van molds. First the Cruisin' Van, then the Coke version, now this. And really, why not? Relatively inexpensive to change the kits up slightly to try to capture different tastes.
  11. Interesting. You wouldn't think a 50s Plymouth with 80s custom styling cues would be an obvious choice for kitting. I kinda dig it. I think. I foresee a lot of custom Christines in this kit's future.
  12. Interesting. I order a fair bit from HLJ, and shipping/import has never really been a big issue. And when you factor in the cost of the kit, and how much less it is than domestic sellers, the overall cost is on par. The big advantage is that HLJ has kits that you just don't see here.
  13. That's pretty neat, and a very clean build you have there! I'll bet its tiny. You should post a pic next a normal 1/24 kit.
  14. You probably have enough reference pics, but here's a link to some awesome high res shots. Lots of detail here to absorb. I use this site a lot for reference. https://canepa.com/photo-gallery/1974-porsche-911-rsr6034/
  15. Read about this a couple of days ago. And most people still have never heard about this, nor would they care.
  16. I've done one kit where I needed decals on a black truck. The paper seems a little thicker, but the images printed just as clear and crisp. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results. Definitely need a sharp knife so you can trim them properly.
  17. Personally, I'm partial to the Turbo Firebird GTA kit. Not sure why, I've just always loved the later 3rd gen cars.
  18. And what kind of garbage would you be able to find to refill it? It's not like you have any wrappers or containers. I guess if you were lucky, you could find organic waste. But still.
  19. That's awesome that the B pillars and seatbelts were included.
  20. Home decals are always an option. If you ignore the crap installation I did on these, they actually turned out pretty good. Used the Testor's decal paper and spray bonder. Printed at home using our run of the mill HP photo printer and an older version of Corel Paint Shop Pro. The designs are crisp, and colours are accurate. Can't do metallics though. And if you can install them correctly, and not like I've done, then they can look pretty good. They're not pro, but then neither am I.
  21. Really, really nice. I'm kind of in the same boat as you. I like building trucks, but really know nothing about them.
  22. Wow. You sure know how to lay down paint. Excellent work!
  23. Really, really nice. Beautiful paint!
  24. This showed up last night. Will need some mods to make it look more North American, but I dig it.
  25. To The Top. He's just bumping the thread up. As we're nearing the end of the year, most of the threads on page one will end up being bumped BRBO threads.
