Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album
iamsuperdan replied to afx's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Post again! Haven't seen anything in this thread from you for a while, and there's nothing deleted or hidden or anything. -
Oh, and the weather is currently -17 C (1.5 F) and it is supposed to be 3 C (37F) by the weekend.

Welcome to winter. This was one morning last week. This is about -30 Fahrenheit. Took the dog to the lake on Saturday morning. It was -27 degrees Celsius, or about -17 Fahrenheit. Luna didn't seem to mind. Neither did the Tahoe. And neither did I for that matter. Dress right, and it's fine.

I've been working on the MPC Country Charger kit, on and off for about a year now. It's taking that long because every time I touch it, I get annoyed. The fit on everything is off. The plastic is soft, and everything is molded in vague, blob-like shapes. Engine block? Sure, I guess. If you squint. The decals are goofy, the instructions could not be any less clear, the tail lights are a joke. Not one redeeming factor in this entire kit. Not sure why I'm bothering to finish it.

Not a huge fan of the music, but I have huge respect for his talent.

Very cool! As the former owner of a real T3 pickup, I follow this with interest! -
What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)
iamsuperdan replied to LOBBS's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Cold. Today, I got cold. This is about -30 Farenheit. Truck was not happy about going for a drive this morning. Suspension was hard as a rock, even more so because I'm driving a one ton. Heated seats and heated steering wheel took a while to make a difference too. -
Getting Luna to pose for a picture takes skill. And usually some food. She's our Husky X rescue. She's a little over two years old, and early May will mark 2 years since she joined us.

Second Gen Ford Bronco Design History
iamsuperdan replied to Casey's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I've seen one Centurion in person. Great concept, but did seem like kind of a home brewed hack job. Exterior looked fine, but neither the interior nor the undercarriage were well finished at all. -

They must have been kicking themselves for not making a 4-door version, after seeing how popular the Suburban became. -
For those wondering, this is what Peter is referring to above. Please, type something...anything, into that message box. It helps a great deal!

Hey everyone, As most of you know, everyone has the ability to "report" a post or a thread. This could be for any number of reasons. thread in the wrong place, needs to be moved inappropriate for some reason. Language, politics, religion, whatever maybe the OP wants it deleted maybe its a duplicate This is all fine. If us moderators see a reported post, we always check them out and do what needs to be done. However, when you report something, you have a little box to enter some info that is very helpful...like WHY you are reporting something. So often, we get a report with no notes of any kind, and for the life of us we cannot figure why it was reported. It's in the correct section, there's nothing offensive or inappropriate, it's not a duplicate, etc. It is totally fine, yet someone felt the need to report it. Now we're confused. Makes our jobs a lot easier if you can give us an idea of what we're looking for. Cool?

I actually had someone here chastise me because I cut the boxes up when I'm finished a kit. Apparently, we're "supposed" to keep the boxes. Yeah, forget that. So I replied with a pic of me cutting up a box. Anyway, who cares if it's rare. Build how you build and enjoy yourself.

Will always remember him from my favorite Creepshow story.

Hugely inspiring man. 99 years old when he did his walk, and still trying to make a difference in the world. And he did.

The spelling is correct. I find it more interesting that they tried to convert a Bay window into a split window.

Both builds look great! -
No kidding! I have a handful of these, with various ideas in mind. But now I'm hesitant. I wonder if this is why these kits are half the cost of every other Tamiya kit on Ebay.
