  1. Had no idea this could be built stock. Based on the box art, thought this kit was a little too fast and furious for my tastes! You did an excellent job!
  2. So I have questions . I see on your CAD drawings above, and on the website, that there are specific scale sizes mentioned. Does the software used come with the ability to scale up or down? So if I wanted a Mandalorian in 1:24 scale, or maybe a Tie Fighter in 1:48 scale? Your initial parts look super clean. No casting lines or flaws that I can see. Now I'm intrigued about the whole thing.
  3. This is going to be really cool when it's done. Watching for sure.
  4. Nice work. That looks great!
  5. 1978 Plymouth Fury "Sport Suburban" That was my mum's wagon and learning to parallel park in that is why I'm still so good at parking to this day! Started in that the day I got my learner's permit at 14. At the time, my dad also had a 1977 Plymouth Fury sedan, but for whatever reason when he took me out for driving lessons, we always took the wagon. Just before I turned 16 in late 1989, she got a new 1989 Subaru Loyale wagon. So I was driving that for a bit. Then I turned 16 and bought my first car; a 1978 Thunderbird.
  6. Nope, add me to the list. To each their own, but cars from the 50s don't interest me much. As for the main topic of discussion, I've seen a ton of these posted here, and they all build up pretty nice in my eyes. Maybe a little more tact, or maybe a explain why you have such a strong opinion on this one.
  7. I would say I have preferences, but then I look at what I've built, and what is in the stash, and I'm all over the map. It appears I am most into Porsches and Big Rigs. But I also like: anything European pickups late 60s muscle car anything from movies, tv, or pop culture anything late 80s or 90s
  8. That. Is. Awesome! More pics!
  9. Well, if we're doing trucks as well, for me it's the GMT400 series. 1988 through 1998. Well, through 2000 if we include the Tahoe/Yukon. For me, there is no bad angle, and there nothing "wrong" with these. Design, function...everything just perfect.
  10. Been familiar with him for a while. But really only paid attention because of the part he played in the Floodland album by The Sisters of Mercy.
  11. Took Luna for a walk last night. She snapped another leash. Time to get her into more obedience classes to try and stop the constant pulling when leashed.
  12. Probably just a build it your self version of the diecast they sold.
  13. We definitely did back in the day. A buddy and I built all the time. And if a model rolled off a shelf once too often, and had too many broken wheels or missing parts or whatever, then it was time for some destruction. We spent a lot of time staging the whole thing. We'd heat up fenders with lighters and then "dent" them, making them look like they were in an accident. We'd then position them in the middle of a driveway, or garage floor. We'd actually put gas in those black plastic film canisters or whatever and put them roughly where a gas tank would be. Semi trucks were the BEST for blowing up! We'd add match heads under the hood or whatever. We would even put action figures in there, although even back then, I could never destroy my Star Wars figures. Then we'd light 'em up and watch the destruction. Yeah, in hindsight, we destroyed a lot of kits that would today be considered valuable. But we were 10, we had no sentimentality about stuff yet, and we were having fun.
  14. Insider top tip. If you have a newer vehicle, this is a VERY good time to sell it. The lack of new inventory means that people are paying insane numbers for used trucks and SUVs. So I got out of the Ford Expedition Max that I've only had for three months. And replaced it with this. 2021 F150 Limited with the Powerboost engine. Will be interesting to see how much improvement the hybrid engine provides.
  15. I remember this one for sure. I still want to see someone in a 1:1 version try to drive it around corners. Turning radius of a small planet.
  16. Neat idea! I'm just waiting for Dr Pepper to roll in and win this competition. In the meantime...Pepsi for me.
  17. That Volvo will be making its way into my stash for sure.
  18. Can honestly say I've never seen a Ford interceptor (or any other cop car) with anything but a dark grey or dark blue interior. I find it interesting/odd that a school division requires their own police force.
  19. Crown jewels? I'm not sure about that, but these two have the most meaning for me. AMT Matador, and what I believe is a Monogram 911 Carrera RS. These are the only two car kits I recall my dad ever building. And now they're in my collection. As for my own stuff, I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.
  20. Good to know! I might pick up some of that, as I thinking I'll end up building my kit in these colours. There is a Tamiya paint that is similar. Grey with a hint of blue in it. Will have to do a spoon test before I start spraying the kit itself.
  21. It's a little more blue when in the sun. Customer finally picked it up today.
