  1. I like the black stripes and hood treatment. Gives it a stealthy look. Well done on this one!
  2. Since it's a Dick Landy DODGE, you are forgiven! LoL BTW...does yours include the nifty little motorbike? That's a cool little scooter!
  3. I recently repaired a window unit from an old built-up that had yellowed. I wet sanded the piece, using the Micro Mesh sanding cloths, the same as I would have for a paint job. It came out good, and I could see through it, again.
  4. That's a good looking Corvair! My uncle bought a new '65 in just about the same shade of red. His had a hood, though. LoL
  5. REMARKABLE! A museum piece if I ever saw one!!
  6. It's great to see that this is your next project! I recently acquired two built-up convertibles, after years of chasing them around the web! LoL I'll be paying close attention to this build!
  7. Just this past week I sold a Monogram S-10 pickup kit for $85 plus shipping, and a REVELL Syclone kit for $41 plus shipping. Those two surprised me. The only other one I sold was an AMT Sonoma pickup kit, that went for $7.50 plus shipping. The recent news about that one being re-issued may have been a factor in that selling price. I had an AMT 1995 Blazer kit listed that didn't get any bids.
  8. Beautiful!! This one would get my "Best in Show" , "Best Interior", "Best Paint", and "Best Engine" votes!!
  9. I sprung for three. One was the pre painted version, and one has the continental kit.
  10. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
  11. The '66 is more closely related to the '67. I owned a '66 Coronet 500 convertible from '84 to around '94, and two '66 4dr sedans. My dad had a '67 Coronet 440 sedan. The body panels are very similar on these two years.
  12. I believe I would do the drive, even if it was more than six hours away. You would have more control over how the collection is handled, from start to finish.
  13. I've used many different products thru the years for stripping paint from styrene. The two that I found works best for me is brake fluid and Super Clean. I left an old gluebomb JoHan Dodge body in brake fluid for around two weeks due to the fact that it had a coat of paint thicker than the plastic itself! The paint finally turned loose, and the plastic didn't suffer any. I once tried oven cleaner on a TESTORS paint job, and it didn't work for me. So that one went into the brake fluid, too. Nowadays, I use Super Clean, as I find it a bit less messy to clean up than brake fluid.
  14. Now, that's a nice Plymouth!!
  15. Great project! The Machine is one of my all time favorite muscle cars.
  16. I have ordered decals from Keith several times over the years. Never had any problems. Just recently got decals for a '69 Charger 500, and a '67 Cougar at two different times. Very quick service both times. I highly recommend ordering from Keith Marks.
  17. I like this idea! I'd return every one I got!
  18. Real beauties! I've been planning to do a MOPAR version of the Ranchero style vehicle, and I may borrow a couple ideas from these two!
  19. I'll be looking into buying a '71 Mustang, if they produce one. '71 to '73 is my favorite body style for the pony car. It was rather difficult for me to see out the back glass on the fastback, tho! I almost bought a '73 Mustang convertible once, but the '72 Buick Skylark was a better deal!
  20. I once had the idea to use the backside of a 1985 Chrysler Fifth Avenue, and the very plush front seats to build a "sofa" for the den. I got overruled!!
  21. If ever there was an eye candy interior....this is it! Beautiful!
  22. Great tip! Very well executed! It always pays to think in scale!
  23. Very cool piece of furniture! Now I know what to do with these scrap bodies!
  24. Duster is looking fine! I had a '72 Demon in this color, with black interior. Really liked that car.
  25. I don't know how Tom did it, but when I'm looking at this forum on my Android, at the bottom of the page, a few links to threads are there. No mention as to the age of the thread. I've been guilty of reviving at least a couple of old threads from clicking on those links.
