  1. I always add: no offense to those who had no choice™. FB is the distillery of meaness, must be why I'm in the klink more than being allowed my 1stA. Continuing on parking, this is why I try to park facing out, I hate backing out of spaces or my driveway. I like those who park over the white line, if I'm driving the beater pickup, I park so they can't get in their car.
  2. Great, I come here and find a Honey-Do list. ? My chip-laden Civic says there is 10% life left on the oil. I just finished a 2.5 night camping trip with Blue Cloud, which ran flawlessly (674 miles) for a 53 year old vehicle, even on Snebbly Hill "Road" into Sedona (to avoid the headwind); dipstick oil is very dark. Just took Cooper the cat to the veterinary clinic for an ear hematoma, treated with banned FB medication that some pod-cast comedian slammed CNN about (trying to avoid "the thing"). Anyway, that little trip cost almost as much as the camping trip cost in gas ($3.799 in Bluff, Utah, where I turned around). Third night, got wakened at 2:30AM by sprinkle of rain, which increased by the minute. I couldn't post that day. ? The movie Forest Gump ruined this straightaway, which is north of Monument Valley (in Utah). First car I had pegged the speedometer with, was where the pull-out for tourists is beyond, there is now a 35 MPH speed trap zone, because taking selfies in the middle of the road, with a Konisegg blasting by would wreck a good vacation.
  3. for Earthworms, testing
  4. What a lucky bloke. I know he has worked hard to get this far in his career. Audi just signed him up, his first videos are very exciting, and he is so humble. I've been a fan of rally more than other leagues, I have kits of the most famous Quattro waiting for me, so of course I think this is super cool. How crazy that the factory let him thrash (politely) museum cars. Insurance must have cost a fortune. ?
  5. Gorgeous! Have in my stash, so of course I love the subject.
  6. that's being remodeled
  7. I missed out on your earlier stint, so first view for me. That Safari "Nomad" is really cool.
  8. You're strong with the return to the hobby! I haven't tried Pledge yet, very impressed.
  9. Not really a model, but a work of art! Having it in the display adds to the illusion.
  10. The color choice works, classy. I have the kit too, so it's nice to see how the chassis and interior looks before final assembly.
  11. I've done a few models with nail 'polish'. If you want to know what not to do, check out my 275 Ferrari NART WIP. Makes a big difference what color the primer is. I've been having good luck with Tamiya primer. I use automotive grade thinner too, and a fair amount but not 50/50, more like 1/3 thinner. There are some cool colors in that section of the store!
  12. I haven't been on the forum for awhile, glad I spotted this topic. I will be building this kit, but with major modifications, this will help. If all else fails, I looked at my windshield frame, not bent at all, but that's without taking it out of the bag, I won't use it for my project. Maybe that will get me off my butt and start building.
  13. Gorgeous car! The urethane paint real automotive, sprayed with a touch-up gun?
  14. Outstanding work! The clutter really adds to this subject. I wouldn't want to ride on top, would be like riding a bucking bronco.
  15. Complete with mirrors.
  16. Ditto, thank you! Dang, that's impressive! Should be in a museum.
  17. I've gone through several phases in my model hobby life. Once upon a time, when I was a kid, every kit that was gifted, or I could afford, got built, in days. Then I took more time to build decent models, and had just a few kits on the closet shelf. Then the usual early adult stuff, put all this on the shelf. But I still bought an occasional kit. Then I met other modelers, and joined clubs, and got into building again, then bought more kits, knowing I would get to them. ? Then the usual mid-life crisis BS, no interest in building, but bought an occasional kit. Repeated last two steps a couple of times. Recently, I joined this forum, and got corrupted. ? Now that I have more money than time, bought whatever I wished I had back in the early stages. And some of those unbuilt kits are now considered collectible. Now I'm getting really unusual subjects, from around the world, which I never dreamed of once upon a time. This is most of my collection, half don't show up on the left and right shelves. Got shelving from stores going out of business, so I'm doomed. But last weekend I attended a local model show, sold 4 kits, so I'm down to 172 kits today.
  18. I'm not into clicking onto something, finding out it's not of my interest, then having eBay push notifications every time I log onto eBay. Could you take a screenshot of the listing? Must be a spectacular sailing ship.
  19. I should have posted this Wednesday night, when it happened. Still waiting on Allstate adjuster to do their thing. Thanks to CV-1984, all done remotely, I had to take pictures and email. The other driver in a nice Audi coupe did the quick lane change without turn signal, took 100% responsibility.
  20. laughs at unsuspecting
  21. This doesn't really qualify as an Outlaw or Hot Rod, but I'm still amazed how this is a thing now. GTO Engineering’s Perfect Ferrari California Spyder Costs $15M Less Than A ‘Real’ One Dang, a wreck costing that much! ?
  22. SOMEONE SHOEHORNED A COYOTE MUSTANG ENGINE INTO A PORSCHE CAYMAN
  23. One of my favorite subjects, in my stash. Good job building it! You got the extra parts with secret decals. ?
  24. Thanks for taking the time and effort to post pictures. I've been taking less pictures anymore, so appreciate this. Looked like a great turnout.
