  1. ~bump~ I'm still on my second Dremel, plug-in model. It's probably my most versatile tool that was intended for model building, but has saved my butt numerous times working on full size vehicles. I read some comments about too fast, melts plastic. Some bits don't have that happen so much.
  2. You have to make the best of your life, good on him! Love this part: "... RN, says she has learned to count the number of supplies she has when she enters Carr's room and when she leaves. ..."
  3. Cool, was wondering what that plate of parts was.
  4. 2016 Honda Civic EX-T Coupe. It's the first turbo Honda has produced (not including race cars). 1969 Chevrolet C-10 pickup, that I call The Green Barge. I just got different wheels put on, resurrected what should have been junked. I also say it's a Ratty Ranch truck, sold in Safford Arizona, still have the warrantee plate. It's fun to tinker with, been making some parts from scrap metal, not going to polish the paint because that requires maintenance, but then keeping the patina from getting messed up is also a challenge. I get more compliments with it, than the Honda.
  5. It's getting to where the old farts (like me) think today's cars are ugly. But on the other hand, I think it's brutally cool looking. The McLaren Senna also falls into the love/hate category.
  6. Is this the 1/24 Pagani Huayra Detail Set for Aoshima kits (PE+Resin+Metal parts+Metal Logo) you got? Even though I already have the Aoshima photo-etch and Fineline aluminum parts, was thinking about doubling down on making my obsession worse. Dann: My 2006 MINI Cooper had a secret glove box that a Glock fit perfect into. Speaking of which, are you going to make the glove box openable, has a belt buckle too, correct?
  7. A Shooting Brake, room for a golf bag.
  8. amphibious tourist driver
  9. Bohemian Rabbitsrty, sung
  10. Wow, I know people don't work forever, so not surprised. Not that I have the funding or expertise to run a business, but how much would a "white knight" need to pony up? I'm glad that I got all the Porsche GT1 super detail parts, have noticed they aren't available on all the sources I've been pursuing lately. Thanks for the heads up!
  11. Just to be different..... I do keep every model part left over. But something I hoard are springs, from everything that has one, I have to tear apart and look. Bic and especially cheap lighters are the best. All electronic devices that BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out get torn apart, sometimes they have springs.
  12. Love to see you progressing! Better finish, before you get the urge to modify it, after seeing the latest version, the Huayra BC Macchina. Look at all the scratch-building opportunities!
  13. Clifford: Thanks for the reply. We modelers scavenge what we can, the toothbrush idea came from someone in a model club, which I used for a cop light bar. Renshape sounds much like Corain, used for kitchen/bathroom countertops.
  14. , silver plated, including
  15. I have never seen that turbine engine before, very interesting...... The leaf spring tutorial is appreciated. I have a project that should get this treatment.
  16. Dang..... love the color! Awesome craftsmanship!! Did you use clear red toothbrush handle for the taillights? Is Renshape like an epoxy putty?
  17. Thought I've seen everything Detail Master makes, but no..... BNA Model World: 1/24, 1/25 Door Hinges for Small to Midsize Cars
  18. I'm randomly checking out what is available to blow money on, stumbled upon these photo-etch hood hinges made by Aber. They are generic, not replica style (as I've seen elsewhere). Has anyone used them? BNA Model World: Aber 1/24 Hood Hinges for all cars
  19. Back in the day, guessing about 4 times a normal car. Nowadays maybe 400 times. I was just checking out a site that sells handmade models, some Ferrari 250 Californias had $650 listed price.
  20. I'm a sucker for purple to begin with. Very nice, and appreciate the foil work very much!
