Ollie's strike again
Gramps46 replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Stopped by the Fredericksburg VA Ollies this afternoon and they were pretty well stocked. Mostly old Lindberg Dodge tilt cabs $15 though they fixed the price on the ones with chrome tank trailers to $24. Mercedes SSKs, Hot Rods, etc. and the rest were Revell pre-painted kits like the Corvette, Mustang, and Challengers. I bought the 2014 Corvette for $9.99. It is my first Revell prepainted kit so I am curious to see what it is like. Surprise, it is not painted at all but molded in red! -

I have long had a hankering to model this car and now you have picked up the torch, good on you! I like what you are going very much and look forward to seeing a lot more of this build. -
I don't like it...I love it!! Just what we have come to expect from you. Congratulations on an outstanding build.

Serious racers there Tom.

There has been some recent mention of photos with no backgrounds being better to emphasis the model. So I dug out some old early Corvette prints (pre-digital). 1953 Corvette promo AMT 1953 Corvette with Fred Cady decals for the Carrera Panamerican road race MPC 1956 Corvette Sebring - should have had two four barrels in stead of the fuel injection. The Studebaker is super.

So nice Johnny.

The Chaparrals left to right are a slot car body, an AMT, and an IMC. The Maserati is an Aurora and the Aston Martin is an Aurora also.

Complete bonuses in kits
Gramps46 replied to BIGTRUCK's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is from the 1963 Chevy Fleetside Pickup which shows all the parts labeled meaning they were all included I believe. I have the motorcycle but am missing the Streamlined Body Halves and Racing Windshield it seems. -
These were all built from original kits when they were issued, but they are missing my Le Mans models. Some of these I still have. And then there was 1961, unfortunately I only have a few of these left, where is the time machine when I need it?

Well done indeed. I have a silver one and a dark blue one. Did you change the air cleaner too?

This picture of the fuel tank is from racingicons.com during restoration. These photos are from Corvette Grand Sport by Paddock and Freidman.

Super build. The brochures on the passenger seat a clever touch.

Interesting, the few Cobra kits from US manufactures

I posted a photo in one of the other Cobra threads but wanted to share these too. This is a Bondo backfill in a vacuum formed slot body. JC has said a resin version is on the way.
