  1. Very well done and a great color! I'm currently building a replica of the Gumball Rally Cobra in close to the same color, also custom mixed.
  2. Outstanding!! That is one sharp looking ride! Well done!!
  3. That's a beauty!
  4. Outstanding!! Very well done and a beautiful paint job!
  5. Looks good, I like the color!
  6. The last of my spending spree, the ebay portion, finally rolled in yesterday. Mostly NASCAR, but a few other treasures as well, especially the boat kit. Funny, when I bought the Der Beetle Bus kit a couple of days before my birthday because my wife wanted me to build one for her, I didn't know that she had bought two of them herself for my birthday for a build together project for us. Now I have three of them, lol. I plan on building the Gordon cars, Irvan Kodak car and maybe the Elliott Coors as well, but the other two NASCAR kits are for spare parts. I'll also probably use the bodies for color testing and maybe masking/graphics practice.
  7. Nice job, looks good in green! This has been a pretty popular kit lately, lol.
  8. Looks good! I like the color!
  9. Well done! Looks great!
  10. Thanks guys!!
  11. Great job on both of those! I love the color choices as well!
  12. My birthday haul from my wife and son. So blessed and thankful to have a family that supports my habit, I mean hobby, LOL. The Der Beetle Busses will be a build together project with my wife, so I can't wait until we can start those!! I also had never seen the Mad Rod 1929 Ford Roadster kit before, so that'll be an interesting one to open up.
  13. My Hobbylinc order came in today, just two days shy of my birthday, so definitely a Happy Birthday to me!! Very excited to have gotten all of these kits, especially finally landing the 21 ft. Galaxie trailer!
  14. Very nice! Looks great in that green!
  15. Very nice, well done!
  16. Excellent job, looks great!
  17. Great color choice!
  18. Thanks Chris! Thank you Guido! Thanks Anders! Steve, all of your builds are top notch and you use great looking colors on them. Thank you for the color chart and info, I tried looking at some online and couldn't get a good gauge on the actual colors. I never would have thought I was close to a factory color, I like that one in the pic. Either the Burgundy Mist or Grenadier Red look like they could be the color of my parents' car, at least based on my failing memory. I'll have to see if my mom still has any old pics of it hanging around anywhere next time I see her. You have nothing to apologize for based on your thoughts of the color, I took no offense and actually chuckled as I can see how it would be a strange color to get used to. Thanks again for the positive comments on my build, your opinion is always welcomed.
  19. Thanks guys!! Thanks Steve! Yeah, it's not exactly a factory offered color, lol. I was looking through my colors and that one just jumped out at me. My parents had a plain '70 Cutlass in either a purple or dark burgundy that was the first car I ever remembered riding in as a youngster, so this color kind of reminds me of that.
  20. I'll need one of these, I just picked up the AMT '55 Chevy at Hobby Lobby on Monday. I'm also looking for a nice building '56 and '57 Chevy, so I'll be halfway there when this is released. The box art is cool to a certain degree, showing the stock and custom versions, but I'll be building it somewhere in-between.
  21. Turned out excellent for a bad luck build!
  22. Thanks guys! Much appreciated! Thanks Greg! No offense taken, it is a cheap paint job, lol. The paint runs around $2.19 and the clear about $1.99, and with how much I used I could probably do 5 cars with the paint and 8-10 with the clear. Thanks everyone! I appreciate it!
  23. Very nice!
  24. Looks great, nicely done! Great job on the roof!
