  1. Well if someone had shown me a pic of the Green Goblin before today, I'd have said, "That looks like something John T would build." Nice to see that I would have been right. Looking forward to it.
  2. I really like the look of this. Can't wait to see more.
  3. Biturbo. There's a new word for us. I like it. Outstanding model. All mods look very well done.
  4. Just throwing this out there, but the Chevy Corvette LT5 was designed by Lotus. As such I think it would be fitting in this Espirit. Especially as Monogram made 1/24 kits of both the Lotus and ZR1. Per Wiki - "With input from GM, Lotus designed a new engine to fit in place of the L98 V8 that was powering the standard C4.[6] The result was what GM dubbed the LT5, an aluminum-block V-8 with the same bore centers as the L98, but with four overhead camshafts and 32 valves. Lotus also designed a unique air management system for the engine to provide a wider power band by shutting off 8 of the 16 intake runners and fuel injectors when the engine was at part-throttle, while still giving the ZR-1 375 hp (280 kW) when at wide open throttle."
  5. I have this kit as well. I'll be following along.
  6. Oh the hot rod possibilities in there. I'm nearly drooling.
  7. Looking great. What clear did you end up using?
  8. Well according to this list, https://www.pastemagazine.com/blogs/lists/2014/05/the-100-best-b-movies-of-all-time.html?a=1 , it's not even in the top 100, but I like it. I had a lot of fun with the model even though I parted out four kits to build it.
  9. Nicely done Jeremy. Maybe someday I'll get reinspired to finish up the Catalina.
  10. Now there's something you don't see everyday. You have my attention.
  11. When challenged to do a movie car, I just couldn't do something people have seen before. The Cherry 2000 Mustang
  12. I like it. I would build something very similar at any time.
  13. The answer is likely no. However, assuming just a b-pillar and window frames would do the trick, this would be a pretty simple conversion to scratch build even for a beginner.
  14. That is really very impressive. That big chrome blower is perfect contrast to that deep black. Perfect wheels, tight stance. Outstanding.
  15. Outstanding work. Where did the Studebaker logo decal come from? I'd have liked that for my build.
  16. You are welcome. Happy to help.
  17. I'll be checking that out. Right up my alley.
  18. I'll add some door art decals, so a little Future on the door so the decals set, and then some flat clear applied only over the decals to match the finish on the rest of the car.
  19. Just about there guys. This one snuck up on me. I'm just working as I have time and suddenly, I realized I only had a few pieces left. I finished up the weathering, added some trim and she's just about ready for final assembly.
  20. Final update. Weathering on the body. And some chromy bits added. The intercooler will be right below the vent in the hood, so I've made the blower hole functional.
  21. Outstanding work. It has the look of lots of cars from my my younger days.
  22. I've checked out a few episodes. There's not much variety sadly. Nissan/Datsun boxy 2-door, usually white, with the occasional 240Z.
  23. Don't bash these guys too hard. There are folks like this in every genre of the automotive world. I encountered a fellow at a car show with a '68 Barracuda with a twin turbo 383 pro-street. I asked him how fast it was, how many horsepower, ETA's etc. His answer for all was, "No idea. She gets driven locally to shows and trailered to all the rest." I walked away thinking, what a waste of time and money, to build something capable of screaming down a drag strip, but it's never even done a burnout. I see it all the time. I've been to the NHRA Southeast Street Rod Nats for years and there's as many trailers in the parking lots as there are cars on the grass. At least that Jeep is getting driven.
