  1. Looks good! The stance is perfect, and I like the extra engine detailing.
  2. Excellent work, I have one of these on the bench now.
  3. Thanks!
  4. Thanks, guys! Maybe? I can't remember...I built that one about 16 years ago, so I may have posted something back when I first joined up here. I saw a Laurel & Hardy Ford done up like that, it was a really stunning piece. I was thinking about doing something similar with a Sin City car, all black & white except for a single shot of color somewhere. I've heard that, this just happened to be my first experience with one. They really missed the mark, though it could probably pass for a V6 with a little work.
  5. I always liked these Ferraris, nicely done!
  6. Very nice, clean work all around.
  7. Looks good, nice job! And seconding Gloozalot - the only engine you could get in these barges was a V8. If you went with one of the smaller cars that year, the only six available in '76 was the 250 inline. IIRC, the first V6 Chevy offered was in '78.
  8. Awesome job on this, that looks fantastic!
  9. After years of pecking away at this one, I finally have it finished! It started as what I thought would be a more-or-less box stock build, but the engine was hideously undersized so I swapped it for one from a '67 Mustang. But that meant that the hood sides were too short and had to be fixed, and the chassis wouldn't fit, and there really wasn't any suspension to speak of, and, and, and. Next thing I know, I'm making new rear seat supports out of brass strip and 3D printing the side lanterns. About the only things that weren't completely reworked were the interior bucket, seats, and the rear 3/4 of the body. I'm still not 100% satisfied with it, but it's much better than what came out of the box. The usual write-up is available here, and as always comments/criticisms are welcome.
  10. Nicely done! I've wanted to build a replica of this rig, but like you said it gets expensive real quick.
  11. Incredible job on this, it turned out fantastic!
  12. Thank you! I have yet to successfully pull a vacuformed part, maybe something to try again in the future.
  13. Beautiful job, that looks awesome!
  14. Excellent job on this, it turned out great!
  15. Love the stance and stripes, nicely done!
  16. Very clean, that looks terrific!
  17. That's cool. I just finished restoring my old (1980s) Model Team Highway Rig, LEGO has made some neat trucks over the years.
  18. Very cool! What did you use to make the waffle-pattern armor over the side windows?
  19. That turned out nice! Good save on the decal, I've had plenty of times where it went that way.
  20. Thanks, guys! The bumpers were redone with Bare Metal Foil, and the rest of the trim was a combination of original and replacement parts. For the headlight covers, I took the clear blister from a Hot Wheels car and set it on the side of the Ferrari, moving it around until the lines looked like they matched the body contours. Then I traced the opening with a marker and cut out the blister, and made a new frame from aluminum repair tape. It took a few tries, this was my first attempt:
  21. Thanks! Yeah, the movie has a lot of problems. It's not the worst I've seen, but you'll definitely need to leave your brain off the hook for a bit if you decide to watch it.
  22. Thanks, guys! I was legitimately surprised by how much I enjoyed this one, Revell really did a nice job with it.
