I don’t know if I would bid on it on e-bay or at a charity auction, but I would certainly buy a raffle ticket on it if the proceeds went to a charity.

This is a couple coats too many!? -
The ones in the Godzilla jeep kit measure 1.095” od. x 0.60” id x 0.37 wide. These ones from the Revell Bronco kit measure 1.125” od. x 0.547” id. x 0.432” wide. The AMT Gear Hustler kit also has a pair?

The cab is now mounted permanent and I managed to get the glass in and the molding on without smudging too badly. The glass is .010” clear sheet from K&S. the rubber molding is a resin piece that I cast. I scratch built some side mirrors that are somewhat close to the ones I built for my 1:1. They will get mounted permanently as a last step. That’s about it for fabrication.? I just have to mount the box and cover and the bumpers. -
I just watched “Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry” again. Nice cars in this movie, but boy, what BAD acting! And the ending… it’s like the budget ran out?

The OP started the other thread also and never responded to any of the comments. ? It all boils down to your definition of profit.

Now if someone’s Dad had built that car…or someone had $80-$100,000 invested in it themselves, what’s another $1200. to have a replica on the mantle?

As others have said, no one is pissed off…they are just being realistic and practical. Can you make a bit of profit off building a model? You can if you don’t expect an hourly wage. Can you do it often enough to make a decent living from it…like a career? I doubt it? Like you said…keep your day job! The most lucrative customer would likely be someone with very deep pockets that owns a unique custom car that they have an emotional attachment to. Wealthy folks do pay stupid money for stupider things.
