  1. Don't beat yourself up man! It looks pretty good despite your problems with it. And the paint colour is a good choice. Nothing I do, EVER goes as planned! But problems are solutions waiting to happen and that alone, drives me forward.
  2. Here's the underside and interior, for anyone who missed it, in the On The Workbench section
  3. I finally got it done! I'm blown away by the detail the Lowrider guys put into their cars. Some of them are more like jewellery, than cars. I hope to get better at building lowriders and get my paint more precise. I love the chrome and the wild colours and I want to build more of these. I only added a few bits n bobs; Subwoofers, Pegasus Daytons, resin rotors and calipers. But most of the time was spent masking, painting and waiting for it all to dry between the many coats of clear (15, I think). Then a lot of wet sanding and polishing. Paint was from rattle cans, which prompted me to order an airbrush. I realised how much paint I've been wasting, when I looked at my bit of cardboard I use to protect my lawn from the paint.! I think I spent about £50 on paint for this ? Thanks for looking, all comments and criticisms welcome
  4. I agree, the foil is really good. I also like your engine details. The plug wires look especially good and in-scale. Very nice, all-round.
  5. A proper Phoenix! well done on the resurrection. You did that old kit justice!
  6. Blimey! It'd take me a year to make as many as that. They all look great, too! But, builds as nice as these deserve separate topics and more photos of each. Nice work!
  7. Looks killer! Literally! Your weathering is great, too!
  8. Wow! That redefines glossy! Terrific looking model. I agree, you got those decals laid down really well. great photos, too!
  9. A sharp build! Very nice all-round and the interior is a knockout!

    BMW 2002tii

That's a great looking build, with some very nice touches. I like the way some of l them used to have 'TURBO' written in reverse, on the chin spoiler, so the driver in front knew he was in for a kicking, when he saw it in the rear view mirror!
  11. Brilliant stuff! Very tasty foil work and the decals look perfect. Your paint is gorgeous, too.
  12. Nice one Aiden. This was one of my favourite cars in the Gran Turismo game. They look like thugs in street guise and even more menacing in race mode! You did a nice job on it, especially the decal work. Very tidy. I didn't wet sand my first few builds, either. But after I tried it on successive builds, I never turned back. Bang some clear over the colour and then use a Micromesh polishing kit. Then use something like Tamiya fine polishing paste, to make it gleam. ? Mine's done nearly 30 cars and still has years of life left in the polishing cloths. Well worth the few bucks it cost me. Decals LOVE smooth surfaces and you get no 'silvering' caused by tiny air pockets. They're easier to slide around into position, on a polished surface, too. Keep 'em coming mate. You got skills!
  13. Very handsome build! The colour suits it well.
  14. That's got tons of kool! Good wheel choice. Looks like it could be a wolf in sheep's clothing!
  15. That looks great! I'm no expert on these cars, but to me, your conversion looks factory.
  16. That's a very clean and crisp build. Nice shine on the paint, too. I like the way Toyota gave this car the same tyre size as the Prius; so it would hang it's ass out, in hard cornering! I like that kinda philosophy ?
  17. That's really cool! Looks bigger than it actually is.
  18. Fantastic transformation! Your efforts really paid off and your photos do it proper justice!
  19. Nicely done. That's a handsome car and looks great, stock. I can see what you mean about the wheelbase, from the box art. Your adjustments were spot on.!
  20. Top restoration. You gave it a new lease of life! Looks classy...and I don't think I've ever seen one before.
  21. You did that old kit real justice. It looks great!

Chevelle-o-rama! What a nice collection. All of them look top notch!
  23. Superb, Eric! killer stance, paint and details. front wheels are beautiful. also the colour coded bolt heads on the blower, etc. that scoop is most Bueno! I'd be very happy if that was my finished work. i doff my cap
  24. Sweet ride, homes! I like the stance. Looks like it's ready to bounce down the boulevard! the wheels look good and compliment the paint scheme well
  25. Looks great! That kit has nailed the shape of the Beemer, perfectly. good wheel / colour choice, too. I'm looking forward to seeing this finished ?
