  1. Yours turned out much nicer than mine. I went too long and too heavy with the Plum Crazy rattle can. Yours is beautiful. A little trick I learned with the Shakers is to use Silly Putty instead of glue between the air scoop and the carb. It stays put, permits perfect allignment and is still removable if needed.
  2. Maybe you could get a set of these and paint the spokes to match you 1:1 inspiration.
  3. All of your work is very impressive.
  4. Thank you David. I was inspired by Steve G's craftsmanship to take a stab at it. While it is not as precise as his results, I am pretty happy how it turned out.
  5. A last resort option is to carve out a hole in the stock hood and whittle out the pitch fork on the resin hood and graft them together.
  6. Thanks guys.
  7. After months of on again off again work, I finally got my 1st "Big Girls" interior done. I went all out on detailing it/them. Scratch built 10 piece the console with real wood inlays and metal shifter shaft. Used custom mixed mica powder for carpet and 4 different methods for chrome details. Made 2 piece arm rests and six 3 piece window cranks. Detailed the dash with custom mixed "wood" paint and back mounted speedometer decal. "Lucite" steering wheel made from 6 different parts including stainless steel turn signal stalk. Clear portions of steering wheel yellow tinted from decanted Testors clear enamel. Too bad it will get hidden in the car rarely to be seen again. I wish my phone could take clearer pictures.
  8. Love that color. Well done.
  9. Thanks for sharing. Any more pics?
  10. I'm in for one when they come out.
  11. I think AMT did that in their "For 1968" Firebird. Never an option but it does look nice nonetheless.
  12. Did you modify the cab, the frame or both? (for length)
  13. Very very nice!
  14. Inquiry as to the possibility of getting a print of a 1985 Dodge Royal SE 2WD, standard cab, long box. Curbside is fine. Would like to see all the upgrade details such as the grille, wheels, tailgate, side trim and bumper guards. Interior would be nice. Low parts count is fine as long as the bumpers and grille are separate from the body.
  15. Thanks guys for sharing this info.
  16. The detail and the finishes are excellent. Please share details about your gas station! That really fools the eye into believing we are looking at a 1:1.
  17. Looks nice. More pics please.
  18. You did a nice job with the parts you fabbed. I like it.
  19. Use a flat box lined with some heavy felt material. It is thick enough they won't roll but thin enough to not snag the mud flaps. The tricky part is keeping the side mirrors from getting bumped.
  20. That turned out sweet. I too had windshield problems with my 70 El Camino kitbash project. Nothing like taking a dremel to an already painted and foiled body to shave a bunch off of the already glued in windows.
  21. I use Firefox/DuckDuckGo and uBlock (which stops popups on YouTube) and everything has work flawlessly here for years. I have never been on Facebook.
  22. I am not on Faceplant either.
  23. Another option is to buy a mini-lathe some aluminum tubing and fabricate your own deep dish Olds Rally wheels. You can even make 17"-18" rims from them.
