  1. Hi guys!! I truly appreciate the comments. It is hard to get time at the desk this time of year, so progress is slooooooooooowwwwww. Thanks for having a look, and for the support. Cheers, Steve
  2. Looking good Anton !! I’m liking the low stance, hopefully you can keep it close to that stance. Nice work on the cowl hood. Cheers, Steve
  3. Hi guys, still slowly progressing… The grill and bumper are now complete, as is the rear bumper. I will add license plates at final assembly. I did a full mock up which revealed a few areas that need some tweaking. The dash/windshield area needs some finessing, and the wheelbase also requires a small adjustment. I will be working on getting those two issues fixed then do one more mock up then paint and assembly…. Thanks for having a look
  4. A couple of projects with their lights:
  5. I would also highly recommend Evan’s Design. Awesome products, great website, great service, and quick delivery.
  6. Micro Mark sells “eyejusters”. I bought some about a year ago and love them. They adjust from 1.5-4 using small dials at the outside of the frame. They’re not too heavy, and what I like is having the 4 for detail work, then simply turn the dial when for the not so detailed or close up stuff. I used to have 2 pairs of glasses on the bench, these ones do both.
  7. Beautiful build Tim! I would like to know what colour that is too, stunning. Rescue green? I assume you printed the wheels? They are very nicely done. Cheers, Steve
  8. Did someone say “pro street!”… Very nice clean build Dan. I love anything pro street, but 67 Chevelles are definitely one of my favs. Cheers, Steve
  9. Excellent build Mario, that two tone paint job is perfect ?. Great way to “re-purpose” that kit! Cheers, Steve
  10. Hi Michael, when I built mine, I used most of the Revell kit, (body and chassis) but used the AMT rear bumper etc. The rear fascia required some minor adjustment to fit right. I liked the Revell rear suspension, and general fit of the chassis, and IIRC the tubs on the Revell allowed more room to lower it. As you can see below I changed things a wee bit. Cheers, Steve
  11. Whoa!! Another wicked build Claude. That roof gives it a totally different look, and what a cool colour. I didn’t realize how nice the lines on those Tbirds were, but then again you’ve dramatically changed the overall look of the car. Beautiful work as always my friend, thanks for sharing. Cheers, Steve
  12. Hi Carl, sorry to hear about the fall, but relieved that you are ok, and as you can see, we’ve all missed you. Wishing you a speedy recovery my friend. Be well. Cheers, Steve
  13. Beautiful build, and excellent photography Harry!! Not sure how you saved that hood, but well done. Gorgeous colour. Cheers, Steve
  14. Hi Samuel, this is awesome to see. I was able to build one (pink) model with my daughter and unfortunately that was it. I really enjoyed it and so did she. I also built her a pink Toyota Prius a while back, one of my favourite builds. Your daughter is doing a great job on this, who doesn’t love a pink Caddy?!! Cheers, Steve
  15. Wait… did someone say “low”? Oh ya, this will be cool. Great idea Anton, I’ll be following. Cheers, Steve
  16. Really cool, and well executed custom David!! I’ve thought about trying something like this for a few years now, but I’m not sure I could pull it off. I really like your paint on this one, thanks for the explanation on what you did to achieve the look. I’ll need to play with some spoons in the paint booth… Cheers, Steve
  17. Great looking duo Peter. The wide body version really speaks to me. Cheers, Steve
  18. Hi Les, sounds like you are a little further along in the planning than I am. Great score on the Cragars! The ability to print your own engine and change scale is perfect for this type of build. I’ll be watching when you get going. Hi Lee, I appreciate your offer. Not sure yet what I will use, but for the build I have in mind, I won’t be TOO worried about an exact replica per se. Thanks again. Cheers, Steve
  19. Looks awesome John. I’d love to see some photos of it in the sun ☀️. Very nice build. This is the next model I’m building, doing a replica for my brother in law of his 1:1. Cheers, Steve
  20. Scale production has some beautiful wheels. Turned aluminum rims with resin centres. The centres still need painting but wheels are very nice.
  21. Starting with the Porsche. Probably end up with a blown hemi, or maybe twin turbos. I like everything low, might as well lower a tractor too!! It was actually Les (stitched up) that got me fired up with that green tractor from a distillery. Thank you Les!!! With the recent passing of one of my favourite builders on this forum, (Plowboy) Roger Hayes, I plan on doing a custom tractor in his honour with some home made decals. Still have ideas spinning around in my head…
  22. I’ve got one planned. Hoping to start it later this year. That is some good inspiration!
  23. As promised, got a bit more done on the grill area. I’ve never been able to get realistic looking headlights from the chrome units. I have seen, and tried a few different methods, but my results were lack lustre. So, for this build I knew I’d be adding headlight buckets and clear lenses. I initially thought I’d be making my own buckets, there have been a few good tutorials on here recently. However… yet another dive into the stash, and I got lucky with some perfect reflectors and lenses. We started with this before any mods… After opening grill, and with new donor parts waiting to be meddled with. The reflectors are from an Accurate Miniatures gran sport Corvette, the lenses are from an El Camino kit. The Corvette lenses were a touch too small in diameter. Here the buckets are just “resting” in place, I will glue them in after I paint the grill. The “bulbs” will get a dab of clear blue after they are glued in place. Hard to get a focused shot with a lens in place, but you get the idea… I’m getting close to being done with front end mods. Turn signals, and front splitter are next. Signals should be easy, splitter is gonna take a bit more time. That’s it for now, thanks for taking the time to have a look. Cheers, Steve
  24. Francis my friend, thanks for checking in! It was definitely worth the effort, and because the grill and front bumper will be painted black, I really wanted it open. There will be some colour behind the grill that should add some interest….hopefully! Always appreciate you taking the time to comment sir. Cheers, Steve
  25. Hi Greg! Yes sir, I am very happy about how well they will work. And… I still have a nice chrome pair of Caddy valve covers for a future project.? Almost got my grill/headlight stuff finished, hope to have an update by Sunday. Thanks for checking in. Cheers, Steve
