  1. Cool project Les! I may need to order one of these beasts. Look forward to seeing this progress. Cheers, Steve
  2. Hey, are is this only for 1:1, or can we have some love for the scale versions?! Turbo charged Fiat 500f Twin supercharged V6 Fiat 500c Hope I’m breaking any rules…
  3. Hi Brock, based on your number of posts, looks like you are fairly new to the forum. Welcome, and thanks for the comments. Stay tuned, as I hope to keep some progress coming soon. Anton my friend, how are you?! I’ve been missing my forum friends!! More coming here soon, I promise. Thanks Gary! Slowly getting rolling again with this one. I’ve got most of the “heavy lifting” done, hoping to start some actual assembly soon. Thanks for having a look guys. I did have a productive paint session yesterday, I will get a bit more done, and hopefully have a bit of an update in the next couple of days. Cheers, Steve
  4. Hi David! Let’s say on-line “ISH”. I do need to get going on this soon though. Nice to hear from you.
  5. Nice to hear from you Dennis! Glad you like it. I occasionally like to build something a bit out of the ordinary, often in the pro, street genre. This is what I love about our hobby too. And yes, pro street ‘em all !!! Thank you Gary. Yep, I’m sure the original design looked just like this, then they toned it down some…? Much appreciated Tim. Thanks Bob!! You and I both like our pro street cars. It’s an old trend but I still love almost anything with tubs and big rubber out back. Thanks Bill. This was built quite a while ago, before I polished my paint jobs, but it’s still looks decent. I remember spending a fair bit of time planning and wiring the engine. Haha! Enough said. Thanks for having a look Spike. I appreciate all the kind words guys. It’s definitely not your usual pro street subject matter. Cheers, Steve
  6. Hello Joe! Thanks for the kind words. I believe that pretty much everything looks better with tubs, even classy Mercedes! Thanks EMRE, I’m sure the Mercedes purists cringe when they see this sort of stuff. I appreciate your comments. Cheers, Steve
  7. Sorry Charles!! I have checked out your site too and will definitely be placing an order with you in the future. My sincere apologies on my misprint.
  8. Great looking build Greg. Man that’s a ton of foil work! Very nicely done. I agree that the ‘59 is the most iconic Caddy built. Cheers, Steve
  9. Awesome work as always Jim. Your wips are full of fantastic ideas and very talented craftsmanship. Cool to see someone take this kit to the “next level”. Badman was one of the first kits I built as a kid, so I definitely have a soft spot for this one. REALLY interested to see what paint work you do on this one. Cheers, Steve
  10. This will be a cool build David, look forward to seeing what you do with this kit. I have ordered parts from Joel at Texas 3d customs, and very pleased with quality and service. Cheers, Steve
  11. Really nice Steve! Loving how this is coming together. Stance looks great, and some nice detailing too.
  12. Hello Claude!! You had me at “pro street” my friend. Never have built a motorcycle (yet). Very cool build, and maybe a touch away from your usual builds, but nonetheless fantastic. The house of Claude never disappoints!!
  13. Very classy looking truck! Always enjoy your builds Chuck.
  14. Wow! Lots of great builds here fellas!! I believe these meet the criteria… MC SS kitbashed with Camaro pro stock chassis 66 Chevelle flip nose kit…
  15. Thanks Joe, I appreciate the encouragement. Spring/Summer craziness is starting to slow down a bit, so hopefully more progress soon. Cheers, Steve
  16. Thank you Keith! I was quite happy with how the diorama turned out. Thanks Andy!
  17. I have used them and they are hot. I’m not an expert, nor the best painter, but I would say colours are legit, and the aerosols spray quite nicely. My current, albeit slow moving Caddy build will be using their Vedoro green. I have used their GM hugger orange, and Vedoro green.
  18. Thanks Andy! Love the Andy Cap avatar by the way. My parents are Scottish, and there always seemed to be Andy comics around when I was young. The problem for me is that on a project like this I need to “stay in the groove” to keep momentum, and that requires more desk time than I get in summer. However… I have done my “final” full mock up, and everything seems to fit. The engine is going to be snug, really snug for under hood clearance, but I believe it will fit. I had to play with the wheelbase a bit, while frustrating, the adjustments were fairly simple to correct. I’m hoping to get some paint work done this coming weekend. I will post an update as soon as I have something to show ?. My apologies for the late reply, haven’t been on the board for a while. Cheers, Steve
  19. Hello Michael, thank you for the kind words, and for taking the time to comment. My apologies for a late reply but I my spring/ summer activities limit my hobby, and forum time. Thank you Charles, this is definitely one of my better builds. Thanks Dave! It’s always nice to see an older post get bumped. Cheers, Steve
  20. Helloooooooo Claude! Sorry for the very late reply. Life has been keeping me away from the hobby desk. Thanks for the kind comment, and believe me, I can’t wait either. Still hoping it will look something like the original vision I had in my head. Hope all is well over in your “neighborhood”. I’ve been missing my forum friends, but this time of year I’m busy with other projects. I do miss the hobby time tho. Take care my friend,, Cheers, Steve
  21. Yes, as Bill says, it takes patience. Just did this on my Caddy project. With the grill being blacked out, I felt it had to be opened as the usual black wash would just look like a big black blob.
  22. Hi Jeff, everyone has differing opinions on this as witnessed by the replies above. Sometimes I leave kit chrome as is, but recently most of my builds get a couple of light coats of Tamiya smoke. Below show a couple of examples. Takes a bit of practice to get it right, the key for me was to warm the paint, and light coats. If you lay it down heavy, the results are not good.
  23. I’d order pizza just to have a look at the delivery vehicle!! Really cool build Tom, and that colour is perfect ?. Cheers, Steve
  24. Great looking Caddy’s Samuel. Hope that your daughter gets to read thru the replies with you. She did a great job on that pink Caddy. Your custom work turned out fantastic, glad you chose the 4 wheel version, not the 6 wheel… Cheers, Steve
  25. Nice looking build Curtis. Nice to see a rare Johan kit being built. Not sure if I missed it, but where are the dash gauge decals from?
