The joy of building comes high for me, if it is not fun, nothing gets done. To ever build an AMT 32 from its limitations is like a subculture in the model building world, I failed 25 years ago but now I am reloading(collecting parts) that to build a few parts count soft details not correct roadster.

Great project, I've read through the whole thread now. This picture is like the essence of the whole build, an ingenious solution to a problem I've been pondering, one brass-tree plasticard, thanks for the help. Edit Now I have read through the thread one more time and it really feels like you are visiting someone's friend's garage. A truly inspiring project.

Yes yes yes, because I know that cars and motorcycles that have been in movies sell more historically. Tasteful Iron Sportsters has been seen in many movies, in the Johnny Depp movie Cry Baby there are two Sportsters, a model K(flathead) in most scenes while in the driving scenes it is just an iron Sportster. Personally, I think that a prerequisite for getting decent numbers is that a kit contains all original parts, ie the original parts of the 1:1.

”The 2000GT made its most famous screen appearance in the 1967 James Bond movie You Only Live Twice, most of which was filmed in Japan. Two one-off topless models - fitted only with tonneau covers to simulate functioning convertible roofs - were made specially for the film. It is claimed a targa had been considered to accommodate the burly 6' 2" Sean Connery. This retained the original car's fastback profile but eliminated rear side windows. Purportedly, Connery's head stuck out of the top and a roofless version was fabricated in just two weeks for the movie. The car was mainly driven by Bond girlfriend Aki (Akiko Wakabayashi) in the film”

1992 Ford F-150
Ulf replied to Chuck Most's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Very nice, I’m a big inline6-fan. -
Really, a nice local deviation ? Armour has driven the development of colors etc and attracted many younger people world wide who missed the plastic model boom of the 1970s. Interesting 2, glue 1,8% = the kits are being built. It's probably hard to get around that building is the foundation of the whole hobby.

Very difficult question, I have wondered the same thing. Looking at different forums makes it even more confusing. I actually think you can paint what someone says on a forum if you think it looks good. I have been looking for and trying to recreate colors and materials in houses from the same time as this car, very little was being documented in the world at this time, people were looking ahead.

1992 Ford F-150 XL Work Truck

It turned out fantastic, it has been fun and educational to follow this project. I'm about to apply what I really learned from your WIP thread, to obliterate ghost lines after moldings, thanks for that knowledge. -
Volvo Sow 4x4 Pilot Replicas 1:35 full resin kit
Ulf replied to Ulf's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Spontaneously I think the Volvo is too narrow, a cab from an Opel Blitz Tamiya or Italeri might fit, torpedo and windshield have some similarities. -
Despite the fact that it is 1:35 scale and military car, I post this. Last in the text below from the manufacturer says something that stands out, ”As a bonus, this model kit also includes 4 off-road wheels for those who want to build a more modern civilian vehicle”. Almost 40 years ago, my childhood friend and I bought one from the defense sale, had fun, drove in the woods and learned a lot before motorcycles and life took over. The off-road capabilities and durability were impressive, the differentials could be locked with a knob on the dashboard (vacuum). We fantasized about V8, 44 inch wheels and winch but for my part it newer happend. I have looked over the shoulder in on a kit in the hobby shop and what I saw looked good. P The kit is 3D designed. Volvo TP21, also known as the "Volvo Sugga" or "Raptgb 915," is a military vehicle produced by Volvo between 1953 and 1958. The TP21 was known for its robust design and off‑road capabilities, making it suitable for various military applications. The vehicle was equipped with a 3.67‑liter inline‑six side‑valve engine, which contributed to its reliability and performance in challenging terrains. The engine, featuring a side‑valve configuration, was known for its simplicity and durability, making it wellsuited for military use. The TP21 also featured a four‑wheel‑drive system, enhancing its off‑road capabilities. The nickname "Sugga," meaning "sow" in Swedish, reflects its sturdy and somewhat bulky appearance. Over the production period, approximately 720 units of the Volvo TP21 were manufactured. The TP21 was utilized by different branches of the Swedish military, including the Army, the Air Force, and the Coastal Artillery. Its primary role was in the signal corps, where it functioned as a mobile radio command post, facilitating communications in various military operations.Over the years, the Volvo TP21 has gained a reputation among military vehicle enthusiasts and collectors for its unique design and historical significance. As a bonus, this model kit also includes 4 off‑road wheels for those who want to build a more modern civilian vehicle.

Very inspiring post, Thanks. -
Engine or no engine, that is the question.
Ulf replied to Luc Janssens's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Kit without engine is ok for me provided that it is possible to put in an engine, loose bonnet and hole in the chassis as in AMTs. A loose bonnet is more important than you first think because some cars have a rather intricate shape on the bonnet that is difficult to scrape up afterwards. -
Wow wow wow, it is a considerable achievement to just glue such a kit together, to also perform as you have done is amazing.
-
Tamiya, Lotus Super Seven II 1/24 very nice tires as well. The pressing between the bolt holes is a bit odd I think compared to, for example, 13 inch 4 bolt rims like 60's Ford Mustang.

I want to remember that I sanded off some of the part that is glued to the roof to make the window sit higher up and better. Fantastic with a four-door full size but I had to tinker quite a lot with the interior to get the car together. Now it is half done in its box. If it helps you I can take some pictures of parts and the half build car.

What a wonderful car, the simpler the clearer. -
Fantastic performance, I hope there will be a show in Stockholm next year so I perhaps can get a chance to see it live.

Air intake tubes for original Gas Ronda Mustang
Ulf replied to Redisetta's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
An acquaintance who builds track racing cars has made his own by wrapping copper wire around pieces of styrene. When the wire looks reasonable with the right distance between the turns, he paints with enamel paint (brush) a few times and wipes off the outer so that the paint fills up and keeps the wire in place.
