  1. Very nice interior and exterior. The color does look true to the period. Very well done on that one.
  2. Nice job with the customization and color choice. A great example of imagination and creativity, and well executed. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Yes, I'll get some pics and send. I'd be interested if you cast this one.
  4. Ditto, sold mine too that I bought back in the '90s. I'd never get around to building that one and have many, many others that I would rather build.
  5. Looks really nice, and your paint looks great. It looks so clean in that color. Thanks for sharing. What to do with it? Put it on the shelf, enjoy it, and build another model! ?
  6. Awesome build. I'm glad you posted this, I wasn't aware of the Fireball conversion but I will check that out. I'm a big fan of this vintage Ford 3/4 ton. I love what you did with this one, looks like so many old Fords on the road that will never die or succumb to a CAN-bus failure that renders it as useless as a brick.
  7. Very nice, Tom. Your paint is incredible, both in tone and in application. Well done. Thank you for sharing. I had to do a double-take for the resistor. Nice touch!
  8. An absolutely stunning, beautiful build, Josh. Incredible detail and amazing paint. I am studying this one to help me improve my skills. Very impressive.
  9. Two of these in 1:1 drove right past one of my employer's buildings on Wednesday, obviously had to be replicas. There must have been a club event at the nearby airport. Man, they both sounded wicked!
  10. I agree, missed the mark on the front suspension. Otherwise it's very well done, some really amazing detail. There seems to be no money in built models. A lot I see don't seem to sell for much more than, if even as much as the kit they are based off of.
  11. Looking great. Fun to watch your progress. I am impressed with the quality of your work and the obvious thorough planning you do prior to launching into a project. Just outstanding.
  12. Awesome build. That looks like something that would have been parked in my high school parking lot. Love the Poncho engine and tripower.
  13. Well done for the first attempt in 50 years. We all have a starting point and only improve from there. The air brush will completely change your model building life. All of the advice on various adhesives, paints, tools, products and techniques will do the same. It takes a few builds and learning, and then you look at your accomplishment and say "wow, I'm really happy with that!" I'm one to talk, nothing completed in 25 years, but I have a bench full of WIPs going on, a couple resurrected and others started this winter. I'm doing a lot of relearning myself.
  14. Beautiful paint. Very clean, nice looking build.
  15. Building a replica of my wife's first car, '72 Mustang notchback in light metallic green. First I had spattering from my Goodwill bargain Paasche airbrush. Got that sorted, but using some old Testors Model Master paint because I packed all of my stuff away 25 years ago and won't throw it away, now I have a bunch of specs of debris in the finish, probably dry solids. I tried straining the paint with a coffee filter but it doesn't flow through . I tried an automotive paint filter but it's too coarse. Wet sanded and shot again, better, but a drop of water came out of nowhere (lie) and now I have a couple of bubbles. Good grief.
  16. Thank you! Very much appreciated. I've been doing a little painting this week on some WIPs. Starting to get the feel of the airbrush again. I have a bunch of old Model Master paint that I think is going to give me trouble. I need to find a good method of filtering because I'm getting some unexplained debris in the paint that I think is probably small dried/solidified pieces. I tried a coffee filter but it's hard to get the paint to go through. Always a challenge at some step in the process!
  17. You're welcome. Yes, replicating the Dodge medium duty fenders, hood, running boards and grill would be a challenge. It's similar to the shape of the medium duty Chevy & GMC of the era, & with some modifications that nose might work if you could find one.
  18. Cool project. I will be following. Sort of related, my 1:1 '74 Dodge D600 flatbed dump... next generation.
  19. Really a neat piece of history here. And thanks for the added note, Bob. Hard to believe cars were transported two at a time like that.
