  1. Just found this one. Beautiful job. You nailed the look. Very well done, John.
  2. Nice work, even if the kit has issues. The builds look good, though there are a couple pics of the yellow car that reminds me more of a TVR Griffith. Thanks for posting.
  3. Digging the Rebel Machine. Looks good. If you redo it, please do a WIP thread. I remember once, as a car crazy teen in the mid 80s, I was exploring deepest, darkest Nova Scotia I came across four 1:1 Rebel Machines rotting away behind an old abandoned house. To this day, the only time I’ve ever seen one in person.
  4. Very elegant. Nicely done.
  5. Nice work on the little Honda. Never knew this kit existed. In the mid-80s I worked with a guy who drove a 78 CVCC. That little car was a tank, with good old-timey snow tires on each corner, there was no amount snow that thing would not go through.
  6. Wow! Thanks for this. I had no idea a full detail version was ever issued. I think I need one.
  7. Nice conversion. You hit the mark. Green looking truck.
  8. Nice clean looking ride.
  9. Agreed! Nice set up.
  10. I would like to get a couple of these as well. Especially something that can be made into a competition pulling tractor. I believe a competition version of one of the tractors was released by Ertl, though I've never seen it.
  11. Did you clear over the primer? Was it your intent to build the car with an 'in primer' look? If so, forget the clear coat. Was it your intent to finish the car in gloss grey? If so, I see a couple problems. First, lots of junk in the finish. That will be a factor of your painting environment, and perhaps the windy day. Also, before applying the clear coat, rub the primer with 1500 grit sand paper, then wash thoroughly, blot off most of the water with a lint free cloth and let air dry thoroughly. Before painting, give the surface a quick wipe with a lint-free cloth wetted with alcohol. This finish can be saved with a little wet sanding and reapplication of clear.
  12. Nice looking Pantera. Really digging the colour. Did you lower the front end at all? I have the same kit half done on the bench. It's a shame about those bubble windows, they really detract from the overall look. On mine I tried filing/sanding the windscreen from the inside to thin the edges, which helped some but not as much as I would have liked.
  13. Nice progress. This is looking good so far.
  14. This will be very interesting to watch. Shame about the body warpage. That looks tough to fix. It's a pretty significant problem for such an expensive kit.
  15. Beautiful Merc, and looks great paired with the Galaxie. Nice work.
  16. Well, that's one of the things. Funk seems to be oozing out several other places as well. Cool project. There is always a curiosity and intrigue surrounding Palmer kits. Modelling in detail the cars of Bizarro World. Looking forward to watching this build.
  17. Nice, tidy Highboy. Great period look. Nicely done.
  18. Cool look. I like it.
  19. This is another option for scribing tape
  20. Classic! Very nicely done.
  21. Nice replica. Well done.
  22. Nice work on the Firebird. That came out great. The big Pontiac mill looks cool, too.
  23. Francis, that chassis is simply stunning. The work is exceptionally clean. I’m loving this.
  24. Thanks for the Plate Shack link. I had this years ago and lost it. The Jim Moini site is interesting, too.
  25. The Acme Plate Maker is another site ACME License Maker . They do Canadian provinces too, though the font is not perfect for some places.
