  1. Nice work on this classic, old kit. Looks cool.
  2. Nice looking GT-40.
  3. Nice work. Cool subject.
  4. Very nice! The paint looks great. Such a lovely design, and your build captures it all nicely. Well done.
  5. Classic. Nicely done.
  6. Nice work. Looks good in silver with red guts. I can understand why you left the bottom open. It's a shame to hide the accurately rendered chassis behind the belly pan (which, though molded in clear, presumably so you can see the chassis, has been given a frosted appearance, preventing you from seeing the chassis). It seems like a great kit, and I can wait to get started on mine.
  7. Looking good. The gunmetal looks right on the transaxel case.
  8. I got away from this build, but just spent some time catching on the last few pages. Very impressive work Daniel, especially the heavy weathering. This was an enjoyable project to watch. Very well done.
  9. Yes, that's correct. This kit was first released sometime in the 60s, and has been reissued many times since. The tooling is worn so a fair amount of clean-up of parts is needed, and some parts are poorly depicted. As mentioned the engine is very weak (it's a throw-away). However, the Henry J kit provides the basis for a very cool gasser type build, as do the other Revell kits in this series. It's a good kit to populate with parts from the parts boxes, or kitbash with a better gasser kit, such as the newer Revell Willys, which could provide the engine, suspension, interior parts, etc.
  10. Looks good. I like it.
  11. Very nice! I like the colour. I picked up one of these myself. Nice kit, looking forward to seeing this one come together.
  12. Very cool, thanks for posting. If one of these crossed my path, I would have to lug it home.
  13. Looking forward to this build. Digging the garage dio as well. Very cool.
  14. Many thanks for the replies everyone. I'll check out those options. Kurt, those decals look great. They seem very cleanly printed. I'm looking for round gauges for 50s - 70s sports cars and race cars, especially Smith's gauges for British cars. Many of the gauges on that sheet look spot-on. If you could find who makes those, or where to buy, I would very much appreciate it. Cheers.
  15. Wow! Very nice. Excellent detailing, and colours & overall textures look right on. You nailed it. Shame about the body fit.
  16. Wow! Very nice patina. It really looks like rusted steel. Nicely done.
  17. I saw this post yesterday, then immediately went looking for the build thread, which I found and read from start to end. I've been intrigued by MFH kits for some time, and have recently been to their site looking for a kit subject that piques my interest. The 1/24 Ferrari Lusso has really caught my eye, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Been thinking a lot about it lately, then saw your post, which I gobbled up whole. Many thanks for the honest and comprehensive build thread, and it has indeed thrown some fuel on my MFH fire. Your Cobra is gorgeous. Especially the paint, which is simply sublime. The many trials and tribulations of such a build must keep one busy and thinking. An orgy of problem solving which you have mastered well. A new problem at every turn, a new solution to get to the end of each step. Kudos on such a fine, clean execution. A stunning example of the breed, both in 1:1 and 1:12. Exceptionally well done. Now, (rifles through the stash) what kits can I sell off to pay for that Lusso...
  18. Nice build. Looks good in that colour with the Watanabe wheels. I have this same kit on the bench right now. A very nicely done kit.
  19. I’m looking for nicely printed decals for round gauges. There’s a lot of choices out there but many are disappointing. I’ve bought a couple different sheets off ebay over the years, but the printing is not as crisp as it should be. Who makes the nicest gauge face decals? Thanks
  20. Excellent tutorial. Many great ideas here. Definitely some food for thought. Thanks for sharing.
  21. I really like the Tamiya wax. It creates a nice lustre. I’ve never used The Treatment wax so I can’t compare the two. It’s excellent for use on the glass, too.
  22. Outstanding! A stellar build of a very interesting subject. Very nice detailing and finish. Your efforts have paid off well.
  23. Slick looking Plymouth. Nice work.
