  1. Neat! Looking forward to this build.
  2. That’s going to be a good looking T-Bird. Nice looking paint.
  3. Nice looking Dart. I really dig the vibe of this one. Looks real tough. Old school cool.
  4. Generally speaking, it's doable. I've airbrushed in temps much colder than that. The problem you might face is, when bringing the now cooled and freshly painted body back into the warm garage, condensation may collect on the body. If possible, I would leave the body outside until the paint has well flashed. Also, keep in mind that paint will flash much more slowly in cool temps, so paint will be more prone to runs. Spray accordingly. Your best bet may be to warm the body and paint significantly, apply the paint quickly so the body doesn't have time to cool before bringing it back inside. Just spit balling here. Experimentation may be in order.
  5. Don't mix it with Craft Smart, either. It turns into a lumpy, gooey, coagulation.
  6. Your question and your topic heading are at odds with each other. There are a number of guys building models and then selling them. No one is making any profit from it.
  7. Good looking Caddy. I really like the colour. Marilyn would have looked particularly fine cruising around in that. Nicely done.
  8. Very nice! Weathering looks great. I’m guessing those decals kept you busy for awhile. Nicely done.
  9. Nice! Sweet combo. They look perfect together. When I was young I loved those MPC modifieds. They go together well and always look good.
  10. Thanks for posting that. Those things sound wicked. I would love to have witnessed them run in person. Some nice views too. The clean styling of the 56 is simply gorgeous.
  11. A nice, clean build of a very interesting Lotus ( though IMHO there is no such thing as an uninteresting Lotus). Those tires are a huge improvement. Nice work. That’s a beautiful model.
  12. That looks great. The old Ford looks properly dressed in the chief’s uniform. I like it. You nailed the look. Very cool!
  13. Like Pete, I make punches from K&S brass tube. Some are fashioned so they cut on the ID and others on the OD. Which is used depends on whether you want the hole or the disc. It also increases the number of hole sizes you can punch. I use a small hobby hammer on them, punching into the end grain of a piece of hardwood. A block of lead works good for this purpose too. The cutting ends hold up better than expected. I cut plastic sheet up to .010”, decals, different tapes, sand paper, and even thin aluminum. Occasionally the end will need to be dressed. I also have a couple made from hypodermic tube, one as small as .010”, for the holes in the leather strap holding the bonnet of a Jag XK120. I’ll replace some of the brass punches with hypo tube as I get more sizes. They will last longer than the brass, but are more difficult to form the cutting end.
  14. An incredible transformation, and top notch work. The little Henry J makes for a dandy sleeper. Very cool!
  15. Very cool. One of the best Outlaw builds I've seen. The rear tires make a big difference. Well done.
  16. Very impressive effort. I am amazed at the number of individual bits of kits that you have put together to create the major sub-assemblies. The tire/wheel surgery is a perfect example. I always appreciate someone going to such lengths to get the look right. Excellent work so far.
  17. Check out the Rust Antiquing Set from Sophisticated Finishes.
  18. Great looking old work truck. One of the nicest builds I've seen of this kit. The weathering looks right on, and I dig the verdigris on top pf the radiator. Very well done.
  19. Nice Pontiac. Stunning colour, and the wheels are a good choice. Nicely done.
  20. Very nice Firebird. I dig the colours. Nice wood grain in the interior. Well done.
  21. Excellent build. The weathering is very well done, and I especially like the weathering on the body. Very authentic.
  22. Nice technique, thanks for sharing. Looks very good. In step 2, are the oil paints artist's oils in tubes?
  23. 91% or 99% isopropyl alcohol can be effective at removing the lacquer undercoat. When all else fails, I soak it in brake fluid.
  24. Beautiful Boss, and excellent build all around. Your solution for the hood paint worked well. Very well done. The 69 Boss 302 is my favourite Mustang. Thanks, too, for the cool photography tips.
  25. What a stunning model. I am very impressed. It looks extremely complex, providing a glimpse into the trials and tribulation you must have incurred in getting it together. The result is well worth the effort. Just gorgeous.
