  1. Yeah, there is some cool stuff there. Unfortunately I can't tell what scale there parts are. There are some tractor tire/wheel sets that look pretty neat.
  2. Been using root canal files for years. Once these are used by a dentist, they must be thrown out. Now, a couple of days before a dental appointment I phone the office and ask if the doctor could keep any used files for me. He sanitises them for me after use. These are very handy around the bench, especially for the scratchbuilders.
  3. In this case I would say definitely apply the foil before the clear coat. As Steve says, it will give you the best chance of crisply foiled details.
  4. Very clever! And very well done.
  5. Your effort was worth it. Good looking truck with that rugged, all business look that works so well on these old work horses. Nice work.
  6. Cool stories. Tidy Vega.
  7. Superb build. That’s a sweet little racer. Good call on the unpolished finish. The sheen looks perfect.
  8. Nice looking Mercedes. The opening boot is a nice touch, and those Rudge wheels look great, especially with the red paint.
  9. Wow! That's a ton of work. Very nicely done. These are wild and crazy machines, and you have captured the vibe very well.
  10. How about the Revell '67 Stingray?
  11. Very impressive work. The bodies are looking great.
  12. Many thanks, guys. I was not aware that one of the Aoshima issues had PE.
  13. I’m just starting on an Airfix/Aoshima 1/24 MGB and was wondering if anyone knew of PE badges available for this kit. I googled around for a bit but couldn’t find much. Thanks
  14. Cool build! Quite likely the cleanest build of a Pacer, ever. Thanks for posting, this one was fun to check out.
  15. Great tip! I do something similar, except I use a small heat shrink tube and apply it over each jaw of the tweezers. Works a treat.
  16. Elm City Hobbies does mail order of basic stuff, though the online catalogue indicates many things are sold out. Not sure if the web site just needs updating, or what. https://www.elmcityhobbies.com/shop/index.php And then there is Udisco in Montreal, but they are on a downward slide the last few years. I've never ordered from them but been to the store a couple of times. Stock of some supplies will be limited. https://www.udisco.com/
  17. Best wishes, Greg.
  18. Good looking Mustang. Nice tidy build. I'm so glad Revell finally made the effort to fix that awful front end. This is the first one I've seen built, and the changes look great. Nice build, thanks for posting.
  19. I just found this thread, and very glad I did. Stunning craftsmanship, very inspirational. Thanks for the detailed photos and descriptions, and freely explaining your methods. Very much appreciated. Super impressive, both the quality of work and the tenacious desire to get it right at all cost (including scraping an entire chassis!!). Very inspiring indeed. School is in.
  20. Lots of great looking roadsters showing up on the board this year. Cool style. I love a big mess of carburetors.
