  1. Your builds are always inspiring. NICE!!!!
  2. Looks good. I have a request from a friend to build a convertible Cougar. This is good inspiration to dig it out and get cutting.
  3. Good luck - I'll try to keep up with this one especially because it is different.
  4. Any of the "pearly" colors. Solid should only be red. LOL. I did the Fujimi Enthusiast recently. Was a fun build mostly. Can't wait to see this one.
  5. Yep! That turned out really nice!
  6. I built this one and it looks great on the shelf. IF you can get the decals to work. Seems like they were just too stiff to work. I ended up using gold automotive vinyl stripes. They conformed better than the kit decals but I couldn't reproduce the side stripes. Good luck - does Keith Marks make this set? Something other than the kit decals, unless the newer ones work better.
  7. I have the black die cast from Johnny Lightning. Debating on changing to a factory color. BUt then the black does look pretty good. I do have a plastic kit that I quit working on. I tried to correct the uphostery pattern and door panels. I was going to use the AMT engine compartment to make a better superbird. The scale differences could be worked past. Then I started working out of town and that project stalled and has never restarted. The burnt orange will be spectacular.
  8. Man, these things come out beautifully. A long time ago, I tried to convert a gasser to this basic setup. Beretta P/S chassis. Never finished that one, but was able to finish the Revell. Straight up box stock build. Yours is going to be even better!
  9. Yes, by all means, please carry on and show us more!
  10. I hate to say it, but I just can't get excited about tractors. I'm glad you guys are enjoying them though. Although I did enjoy the diecast tractors when I was a kid. Roll on guys!
  11. Looks great! Nice corrections and additional work.
  12. That's the tip I was trying to make as well - may not have communicated well. But reinforcement never hurts. As for the others, I thought mine was going bad. Shook it more. Applied wetter. "chromed up" like it should have.
  13. As a test, I have a 1/64 truck on my desk at work with Molotowed bumpers. Been a month or more. Just now rubbed them. They dulled. Didn't nick with fingernail, but did dull. Like others have said, when mine are done they go in a case and aren't usually touched again. So it works okay for me to use on exterior parts. But I have read so many things that say it isn't durable so I don't expect it to be. Works great on interior parts and other places where no handling happens. I also wait as long in the process as possible. And retouch if necessary. Here's a tip I figured out - when applying, you want more than a dry coat. Wet coat. And blow on it to make the particles turn chrome faster/better. Just like someone said a long time ago about testors Chrome silver. May as well look at it like you are using good old testors chrome silver - about the same durability. I held out a long time before trying it, but I am on my second pen in a year. may go to refill because 1mm pen tip is too hard to use in many places. Made to write with, which it does well. Another tip, just in case you are completely new to Molotow. I dip my finest tip brush in the chrome ink up by the pen body sometimes. Or do the mashing thing to get a couple big drops out to dip in like paint. I also can screw the tip off and dip in like paint. Pretty versatile stuff. I use it to touch up my BMF corners or chips in BMF. Works pretty good all in all so long as you don't go past the limitations of the medium.
  14. Good score. So how thick is the aluminum body? Real aluminum or just unfinshed zamac? Should look nice enough with the others. I have a new addition otw from seller. Nothing exciting like a Cobra though - 1939 World's Fair Ford. the one with the working roll up windows. Photos next week probably.
  15. That's a beauty! Not sure I have ever seen that one.
  16. Oh man! Awesome. I like it just as it is with the blue hood and primer body. And the interior rocks! Ready to cruise til owner saves up some more money to keep fixing on his/her old heap!
  17. I think I'm liking this one, whatever direction it takes.
  18. You did a heckuva job with it. Everytime I open one of those, I look around it, with all kinds of ideas and ambition. Then teh reality of hte kit sets in and sucks all my ambition and part of my soul out. I am happy to report I do not own any of these anymore. No more soul suckers!!!! LOL But you did make a nice build! Congrats on finishing.
  19. Nice daytonas. I'm a sucker for those when I see them on the pegs. And nice Mail truck Tim.
  20. NICE additions and great ideas.
  21. I'm sure there are a lot of treasures there. They have a couple more cars I may acquire and sell. Each is missing some little doodad but the prices are better than possible on ebay. I'm not sure he realizes what he has there. Or maybe he just has too little traffic. Place was dead when we were there. I have another T&C by DM. But thought this one would be nice to have as well.
  22. Looks pretty sweet!
  23. Good luck. That's a Limited Edition?
  24. Here's my most recent $10 junk store find. FM 42 Chrysler T&C woody. Missing mirrors, one door handle, wiper, hood tampo scratched, but looks okay in my office. Because $10. No box or anything. He has a couple more I may go get for resale.
  25. Wow. Took me a LOT of unfinished projects to realize I just don't have the focus to keep up with my imagination. Outstanding work.
