Hello Everybody! While it may seem that recently most of my attention has been focused on my Corvette Project, that's merely a diversion. I've been slowly plugging away on the Lambo, quietly working on fit, finish and finalization. One of the key elements that was weighing heavily on my thoughts is the chin spoiler. It just didn't mate up with the front fender flares in any appealing manner whatsoever. So in the midst of all the other little bits I've been working on wrapping up, I've been intermittently building and blending the spoiler to correct that issue. And I think I finally got it! It's not perfect but it is a darned sight better than what I started out with. Yeah, much better! I'd say it's ready for paint! Hello Everybody! I have a little more progress to post on the Corvette, so... Here it is! I masked the chassis and painted it with flat black and Duplicolor Medium Quasar Metallic. Which is the color I've chosen for the body. This blue was painted over gray primer but I'm going to do some spoon tests with both silver and black base colors before I shoot the body. Here are the engine and chassis mated. Yeah, it's not much but progress is progress. I'm glad I did the spoon test. The main color I'm using is DupliColor Medium Quasar Metallic and I wanted to try it over a couple of basecoats. The spoon on the left is the topcoat over Duplicolor Basic Gloss Silver. The center is the topcoat over Tamiya gray primer and the spoon on the right is sprayed over DupliColor Basic Gloss Black. Though I like the richness of the blue over black, I feel that this combination is a little too dark for the size of this model. It's not bad over straight primer but the silver gives the blue just a bit more lift than the primer. Unfortunately, the extra pop doesn't show that well on camera. Your version of the front suspension is a vast improvement over what the kit provides. I mean, obviously that's the idea but it's often the littlest details that make the biggest difference. Great lyric quote BTW! David G.

Hello Everybody! I've been making progress on the Corvette. I'm calling the engine (such as it is) done. There aren't a lot of details to work with and I didn't really want to go through the time and effort to add any. Reconfiguring the mismatched seam on the oil pan was quite enough effort for this build, thank you. So this is what I was able to get done with some detail painting and a quick blackwash. The updates should be coming more quickly now as I make time to edit the photos. As always, please like, comment and subscri... Oops, sorry. Wrong platform! Thanks for posting the photos Csaba. I was wondering how you did the dashboard conversion. On the Aoshima version, it looks like most of the factory gauges were cast in place and the time equipment was a separate part. On the Polar Lights version I built, the time equipment is all cast into the dash and would be difficult to remove and replace with the proper gauges and features. Even as it was, the Polar Lights version I built had a rather simple interior and I felt the need to make some improvements to add a little visual interest. Yours came out great! David G.
