  1. Nice color combination. I had a '71 Chevelle in a similar shade of brown with a cream colored interior. David G.
  2. Looks good so far. David G.
  3. Zoom! David G.
  4. Great progress on this! It seems like a chassis swap that might actually work well in the 1:1 world. David G.
  5. Thanks Chaz. I've already done a bit of lightening using mineral spirits and those small pointed swabs made by Tamiya. I feel fairly confident that I could pretty much remove and replace the ones that I feel need fixing without mucking up anything else. I'll probably spend today's session working on that. Thanks again for your tip Chaz, I'll try to see if I can find that video and check it out. David G.
  6. I've built a few kits like this one where I've found myself doing what I thought was the designer/engineer's work. Correcting issues that should have been sorted out in the planning stages. The one I remember most recently is the '77 AMC Matador by AMT. While building it, a number of times I thought to myself, "Did anyone at AMT even try to build this thing?" We have a saying in The States, "Making a silk purse out of a sow's ear." It refers to making something beautiful out of something that decidedly isn't. It certainly applies here. David G.
  7. Thanks Joe. You totally should, they'd look great together. David G.
  8. I can see the similarities with the car in the car in the video. It's a cool video, the song reminds me of Blast Off by the Stray Cats. And the young lady must have had more sturdy clothing than the two kids. Great ideas! David G.
  9. Hello everyone! I managed to get the last of the decals placed and settled. I still have to work out what to do about the marker lights and I'm just not happy with most of the panel lines. The panel lines on the roof should be black because of the door gaskets but the rest of them just don't look right to me. I think I may clean them out and mix slightly darker blue and orange washes for those areas. As always, thanks for stopping by. David G.
  10. Well Done! I do enjoy a good parts box build ever once in a while. David G.
  11. Nice interior detailing, body work looks great too. David G.
  12. Cool mods on the bubble top! Can't wait to see how this one works out. David G.
  13. I like your most recent photos. The car looks like it should be part of a garage diorama in which it is undergoing a complete frame-off restoration. David G.
  14. I'm late to the show on this one, but I'm glad to have found it. I always enjoy following your work, I find it entertaining and informative and I'm glad you take the time to share it with us. David G.
  15. Clever idea taping the body panels down, rather like budget magnetic gluing jig. I'm very curious to see how this builds up. David G.
  16. Your foil work looks great! Nice color combination too. David G.
  17. Sweet paintwork! David G.
  18. This is shaping up to be a rather good build and that doesn't surprise one bit. It reminds me of something I might have driven in high school. Chrome wheels, a custom shifter and a six-banger under the hood. David G.
  19. It's all coming along quite nicely. David G.
  20. The color looks great, it'll look even better when it's all trimmed out. David G.
  21. Nice work on the boot! David G.
  22. Sweet build, nicely detailed interior. David G.
  23. Fantastic work on the interior and chassis! David G.

  25. Love the engine bay detail! David G.
