  1. Similar but different is an example of an oxymoron.
  2. Another thought. Sometimes it takes one application to drive technology. For example computer games drove a lot of graphics technology development. If it was strictly business applications that wouldn't have been likely. If longer races were desired maybe there would be a push for really quick battery changes to allow longer races.
  3. Glad to see you persevered and dragged it over the finish line. Definitely a candidate for modelers hades. Hopefully the modeling gods will treat you nicer on the next build.
  4. Box opening and white glue buildup. A look at how it goes together and things to lookout for. https://youtu.be/oNR5BUOMnWE?si=eJaGrsM9_J5kHCnu
  5. Hang in there. There are some models that just don't want to be built. You've managed to overcome challenges in the past however a double whammy really sucks the wind out of your sails. Hopefully you will get back on the horse soon. I always enjoy following your projects. A thought how about putting a graphic or lettering over the area after you smooth the service. Wouldn't fix it completely but it will minimize the issue.
  6. I was having issues. See my post in how to use board. Dave responded he thinks he got it fixed.
  7. Been getting something went wrong when trying to view 3 different posts.
  8. Looking good. Great color.
  9. Worth of any item is only what someone is willing to purchase it for.
  10. Any updates on how Jim is doing?
  11. Any one have pictures to post of the show?
  12. Believe no one is my motto.
  13. At this point there can be no chance of Steve Scott doing this kit. This thread is 10 years old. The last status update was September 2020. There has been no significant progress. What more can be said. I am glad the original car will be restored. I thought the car was cool.
  14. A great day. Had a follow up visit with my cardiologist. Great progress with my edema. Weighed 262 that is down from 299 pounds(January 2). That is almost 4 and half gallons of water. It makes a huge difference in how I feel on several fronts. Just the weight loss combined with everything not having to work so hard. Not getting as winded walking from point a to point b. Still have a ways to go but will take time. This has to come along at a measured pace as going too fast and I can have issues. Will update in a couple of weeks when I have another visit.
  15. Ouch.
  16. As said for a kit that is expensive a restorable glue bomb is the way to go. I would suggest maybe developing your disassembly techniques on glue bombs that are more common to avoid making mistakes on something rarer.
  17. My thoughts and prayers for Jim also. May he have a speedy recovery.
  18. I'm sure some lawyer would be happy to take his money. But he has no copyright and obviously hasn't owned the car for years. He stated he was trying to get access to the car to produce his kit. I seriously doubt he has the money to refund. When this came up originally there were numerous people that said it was never going to h appen for a variety of issues.
  19. There lies some exquisite beauty in the universe if you pay attention.
  20. It's interesting the spam emails are ramping up again. It was quiet during the holidays. And I just stick to my usual sites. A western union moneygram spam and 3 for women who want a relationship. Sad thing is there are people who get conned by these bottom feeders.
  21. Glad you are back. Sorry to hear of all your problems. Hopefully things will drastically improve soon.
