    Thanks, Michael. I was just really, really, really careful. This is really in international kit. It was molded in Poland, printed in China, & packaged in the US.

    That yard looks fantastic. Very nice job on the mast & bowsprit, too. Ships really require a whole different level of "attention to detail".

    Not the neatest job on masking the main rotor, but it's closer to done. Tail rotor is in paint right now.

    That looks pretty nice, and the price of €17.31 (~$20.40 US) isn't all that bad. Shipping doesn't seem all that bad, either.

    From what I've been able to find out, the Cat 3406C, Cummins N14, or Detroit Diesel Series60 would be appropriate. The Detroit V8's & Caterpillar 3408 are too "old" for the Ford LTL9000. Stick with the 3406. I'm not familiar with the transmission that's in the kit, but the "standard" transmission was a 9-speed direct.

    This is the kit I have: It's the Model Shipways New York Pilot Boat Phantom. It's a solid hull kit, but I still cannot figure out how to proceed. My biggest fear is putting a ton of time into it, but having it only be worthy of kindling.

    Really fantastic work. I have a wooden ship kit in my stash, but I've been to intimidated to start it. Very well done.
