If you're referring to a big block Chevrolet engine, a couple to consider would be any of the recent Revell kits with a big block Chevelles or Camaros. The AMT '70 Monte Carlo would be a possibility, but AMT has offered a few kits since then that may be a better choice. AMT had several Corvette kits that had nice big block engines as well.

I have noticed that several other companies advertising on TV that their products to do much the same thing as Lume. I can still afford a daily shower, so I think I'll stay with that myself.

As a long time subscriber to many of the Auto Enthusiasts magazines I also have become very disillusioned with the whole quarterly magazine issues for more money than before. As Rockford pointed out the many different tiles started going away, usually just after I had renewed my subscription. This past year I decided to not renew my Motor Trend subscription that I have had for more than 50 years since their main story line has been EV's and very little else. I'll keep Hot Rod for now, but they are on thin ice with me anyway. As for Car & Driver as well as Road & Track, their changing formats and coverage of mostly cars costing more than my home, 401k, and life insurance combined. I no longer find them relative to anyone in my station in life. I used to subscribe to Ol' Skool and they went BK right after I renewed my subscription as well. You might think that I'm the kiss of death to monthly publications, but I think it has mare to do with the organizations that are running these magazines. I'm still holding out with Hemmings as long as they keep sending me their Muscal Car and Collector Car publications. Their writers seem to present a far more compressive article about each car they present.

Still a great looking build when you do a paint job like this and a clean looking interior as well.

Rasing the bottom edge of the fenders and removing the running boards has in effect channeled the body. You had mentioned the '48 Ford as a comparison, as I'm sure you know what Ford had done on the '41 thru '48 models was to widen their body slightly and the bottom of the doors and body flared out slightly. What this did was conceal the running boards and they would only be seen when you opened the door. The headlight treatment and especially the grill really change the appearance of the front end for the better.

While my experience with resin bodies is limited, what I have noticed in the last couple of years is that the better and smoother castings seem to be made with some sort of white colored resin. The last one I did was a '67 Chevelle two door post and the bodies finish as purchased would rival most plastic kits of today.

He should have invested in a couple of cans of primer if he didn't want it to look like someone with a beer in the other hand was painting the car.

Great looking box art style finish. To Ford's credit they advertised and promoted this Pinto option and sold a good number in the area I was living in at the time. Chevrolet on the other hand made little mention of the panel van version in the sales catalog and then couldn't figure out why they didn't sell.

I wish I could remember where I saw an article about a tire maker that was actually making a tire designed for what these people are doing with their Cambered vehicles. What it looked like the tire maker was doing was to make the sidewalls on the inside of the tire shorter than the outside of the tire. I have know ideas as to how this was accomplished production wise, but from the picture provided in the article they did have a larger contact patch on the tire with still having a raised outer edge of the tire. This also will pass in time.

Like the old saying, "Buyer Beware." especially at an auction where you have little to no option for inspection. Go back and start rewatching around frame #220. They are talking about the GM style of covering the wiring and the general unkept look under the hood. They never mentioned it, but the first thing I noticed was the paint peeling on the right front fender where it attaches to the inner fender. Looks like they didn't even do any paint prep in that area. When you see things like that you better start looking since I have found that is an indication that someone was short cutting the very first thing you notice on a car, the paint. Usually if that has been done you can count that there will be many other far deeper problems with the car.

Any serious Ford racer has to have a "Tear Drop" hood scoop just like the Thunderbolts of old.

I'm getting a chuckle out of hearing about how the price of people's new cars and trucks keep going up and up. We keep forgetting a couple of things here. #1 maybe inflation and what a dollar will buy today compared to a time in the past. I'm of the belief that on average while our wages have, hopefully anyway, have kept pace with inflation. #2 The overall content and features of vehicles today are beyond what most people enjoyed on past vehicles. #3 We do have to look at the many "Safety" features that are now required by regulatory government agencies. How else can you expect to drive down the highway clapping your hands and stomping your feet without touching the steering wheel, how boring could that be.

I like the gritty look of the paint finish. Looks like so many around here that you see sitting in a back corner of a business parking lot and only git used when it snows. I notice what looks like a new create engine in yours.

I like when a builder includes what their vision was when they post pictures of a build. The back story sort of does that for whoever is looking at the pictures.

The 2021 Charger kit as I have a duplicate of all the others already.

They should have ordered a non-refill prescription for something to help with the pain. That is the way my Dentist did it and I wasn't even knocked out.
