I like the cleaner look without the stripes. This body style had such great body lines anyway.

This interior is amazing looking. Chrysler products of this era had some pretty colorful interiors and you really captured that look.

I like the wide verity of cars in your shows. I don't think many of them see use in the snow.

Great looking show. The orange car, is that a Kaiser version of the Henry J ? I haven't seen one of those since I can't remember when. The yellow Dodge RT may even be a 440 cu.in. I think that was the standard on the RT with the Hemi as an option. I just remember you better bring your A Game if you ever wanted to race against one back in the day. I which we had a model of the '57 Olds Super 88 with the J2 engine to build.

I have also been pleased with using Tamiya Putty. I would first sand the joint as smooth as I can before applying the putty. Usually takes a few hours before it's hard enough to sand, but then just spray it with primer and sand smooth before color coat. There have been times on engines as an example where I had to remove the mounting pins that are in the casting so that the parts will line up better.

Great looking '36. I have never seen one of these kits before so it was interesting to see how your build went.

Great looking build. The paint looks very nice. At that point in time when these cars were new I was working for a Toyota dealer and had a couple of these for demo's. They were a very smooth and good handling road car and that DOHC 6 was a great engine. This looks a lot like what Toyota offered as a special paint option which was called "Black Package" and the finish was a Black Mt. with a lot of clear. You might consider gluing the wheels and tires in the correct position to keep them from moving around or the model from even driving off the shelf on you.

Beautiful looking Roadster. This style screams '50's and even a few early '60's style. The stance looks great, I'll bet the bottom of the grill shell will take a hit soon. The colors of the interior and body work well together. The wide whites and Lancer hub caps are great time pieces.

What I remember reading about them was that Tamiya was bring a new product line in both bottle and spray for the US, someday.

That's a shame, may have to go in the purple pond and repaint.

I remember reading about the new paints , but they haven't shown up here yet. Look forward to trying them when they do.

This may have nothing to do with the original question, but. The coloring of the Transport and even the Tug look as if the upper portions of their bodies are painted a sort of school bus yellow ? Or is this just the way the photo was shot ? Under the Transport you can see what looks like a lot of dark or black matter on the tarmac in front of the rear wheels and under the cab ?? Also some sort of white matter on the rear wheels of the cab ? Makes you wonder when and where this photo was taken.

Great looking flame paint jobs. I like the mild body mods and the wheels.

A simple sheet of metal close to the exhaust but away from anything you are trying to keep cool should work. Think about some of the exhaust shields that manufactures used to place between the spark plugs and the exhaust manifolds and that will give you an idea of the type of shield you'll need.

This is really special. Very clean looking build beautifully detailed and then you see the interior and that is what I think makes so special. This is almost like a diorama on wheels.

I enjoyed watching your build on this and your body work and paint are beautiful looking. To change the rear tail lights and fin area on a '57 is not an easy thing to do and this turned out to be a very up to date look. Nice interior with the optional front seats but keeping the OEM style and look. Clean looking engine and details.

I see your intake in the photo now. The path for the incoming air is really a round and about path. Don't know if it's in your budget but you might check out either Air Raid or my favorite K&N for their air filters or replacement air cleaner assembly. These would allow a more direct path for the incoming air since every time the air flow changes direction you will lose velocity. The entire air box kit can run well over $200, but you could always think about a home grown affair altering your OEM air box and plumbing. Your Chrysler looks like something that has been well cared for and with the continued care it should last many years.

Might be a good idea to form something as a heat shield around the exhaust to keep the heat away from everything under the hood. Looking at the factory Air Box I wonder were the air intake is and how large it may be. Anything that could remove any type of air flow restriction would have to help.

Looks great and I like all the extra details they included in the kit.
