You might want to try Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color for your door lines and any other body lines for that matter. I have used their Gray on a White model and it looks very good. They offer several colors and it comes in a small square bottle with a very fine brush attached to the lid. Like you, I have always used a Black wash or a very diluted Black wash. This new product is very thin and just a small dab of paint and this stuff will take off down the line on its own. I suggest using very little in the brush until you get used to how it flows.

I sliced the side of my finger in much the same manor but with an under counter light fixture. They also glued it back together instead of stitches. I guess now I know what a plastic model must feel like.

Looks good, especially for a very basic kit to start with. If it were up to me I'd leave off the hood scoop or paint it to match and use it that way.

I find bears and most other creatures interesting to watch. Recently on the news they were covering a story on a bear that had become very friendly and even allowed people to take selfies with him. The problem seems to be the authorities feel this makes the bear dangers to humans as it may attack. So they captured the bear and then killed it. While I don't like what they did, I guess at some level I can see their side of the deal. I think as much as we like to see wild life we should minimize our impact on them for their own good.

While I have most often built models with the theme that "this is how my 1:1 car would look" if it were mine. As time has gone by I find showroom stock more appealing. The hard part there is making it accurate and while rely on my memory for the most part I find getting reliable accurate information harder to find all the time. I have seen so many so called experts get it wrong for a large part of the time.

Thank you for the info. These pictures show just how much is done on a build of this nature. Sometimes it's hard to truly appreciate the workmanship that goes into a car like this.

I had left him with all of the owner's manuals and instructions on both the mower and all of the other parts. I even suggested that he read the operation manual on the mower before operating since he didn't have the time to have me show him. These things aren't really hard to operate but it helps to know what the switches are for. I know what you mean by different ways of learning, I'm more of a visual type but have found the more complicated things it helps to read provided the instructions are well written.

I had followed your build on this and it turned out fantastic. It is just so realistic looking and I learned a few thing about build techniques along the way, thank you.

Nice clean looking build. Getting the chrome detail correct on the wheel openings isn't easy.

I like the Purple Candy top coat. At first I wasn't sure since it sort of covered so much of the great art work you had already done. The more I look at it all of the previous work seems very subtle now.

I like the idea of the bigger spoiler. I bit of useless information on the '70 Camaro spoiler. The '70 model year only had a very small spoiler and they started the larger more common spoiler with the '71 model year cars.

When I started high school I had moved to live with my father and step-mother. No problems there, but one of my chores was to mow the yard. They had 1/2 acre for me to mow but it was on the side of a hill and each terrace was 1 and a 1/2 passes with the old Toro that was not self propelled. Not so bad working my way down the hill side but dragging that mower back up the steps was tiring.

I'd try and stay with the same brand of paint from start to finish. Seems like those who are having the most paint problems are trying to use paints from many different sources and they aren't always compatible.

The big surprise here is the tire is still holding air. I hear so many negative stories from others about BMW drivers I guess this could be one of them. Some of it could just be jealousy.

I really like your Trans Am. This reminds me of a movie, I can't remember the name, that had John Wyane as a privet detective and he drove a Trans Am in the same shade of dark Green.

No time to take a picture so let me explain. We were out and about Sunday and heading home. We live in a semirural area and traffic is often light even on a Sunday. We got off the heavily traveled I70 on 11o th street that is a 4 lane that wraps around Kansas Speedway and except for rush hour or when there is something going on traffic is minimal and posted at 45 mph. We weren't in a hurry and rather than my usual 50 mph or more I was just cruising along. We round the bend in the road and there is a Shariff's car pulling over someone for speeding. We drive about 2 miles too the road that takes us toward our home which is also a 4 lane but marked 50 mph. We get about a quarter of a mile down the road and I see a car closing extremely fast . We get passed by a new Corvette, still has the temp tags on it. We were going maybe 55 mph and he had to be doing at least double that and of course he has to shift up as he passes us. If you haven't had an opportunity to hear one of the new Corvettes "go full song" it is special I assure you. My wife even said "that was fun" talking about the driver. A moment later here comes a Shariff's Charger all light up like a Christmas tree and gaining on the Corvette. A couple on miles up the road we see the poor guy in the Corvette looking very sad and the Shariff is writing a book or something. My thought is that's going to cost more than his next couple of car payments and that's not to mention his insurance bill.

I remember seeing Color Me Gone race at the Winter Nationals many many moons ago. If ever a race car had a proper name it was this one. Great driver and machine "was poetry in motion" as they say.
