  1. The interior in this trailer looks very realistic. I like your cushions. You mentioned clear coating the exterior of the trailer. I would suggest yes do that to match the Bug. Also you might consider some mild White or even two tone stripe design for the sides. This was fairly common and it does break up the single color slab sides of the trailer. This is a matter of what looks good to you.
  2. Are you adding the Red Strip Decals to the body? Would the Black Strips better match the interior and lower body color ? Either way would look good, the Red just seems like it would be very noticeable but that may be what you're going for anyway.
  3. Your new vision looks perfect to me. The raised back end was usually done with longer rear shackles and Air Shocks back in the day. I don't recall anyone doing mini Tubing at that time. Something about the understated exterior makes these little cars just look mean. The Red Interior will offer a welcomed difference from the usual all Black Interior. The COPO kit is a great deal as I think it still has the Bucket Seats in the box. also. Nice seats for a future project.
  4. Fireball may have the Suburbanites your looking for. If he doesn't have them someone else on the Forum list should be able to provide the tires you need.
  5. So many great looking builds. The minute details are outstanding. Thank you for sharing.
  6. I don't know if you read Auto Week Magazine but they have an interesting comparison between a restored 50 year old Gladiator and the new 2020.
  7. Great looking build. I like the paint finish and color.
  8. I like your material selections. I'm not into the vessel sinks so much for myself but I think they look neat. I especially like the faucet style. I wanted to get those a few years ago when we had the master bath redone but got out voted on that. I think the wooden plank style floor tiles are a great idea and what we would do in the future. They also look good in kitchens and are very practical and easy to keep clean. You might share some of your pictures later.
  9. I also saw that. Makes you wonder what's next ? Maybe Depends and reverse mortgages.
  10. Ya, the last time that happened around here I was supervising and someone who knew what they were doing was doing the work. A suggestion before you go much further. Put a cap on the sewer drain. There is a reason for the water trap in a toilet, it's to stop the sewer gasses from coming up into the room. What all do you have planed for the new bathroom ?
  11. You know you can get these at most HL and use the 40 % coupon. With sales tax undercoat and mirror glaze you're under $20.
  12. Great looking paint work. This kit obviously holds sentimental value for you, but the newer Revell '55 Bel Air Hardtop is a much better kit offering the kit standards of today. Excellent foil job.
  13. I would suggest the standard "new and improved" foil. I have only bought one sheet of the "ultra bright" foil and was disappointed with how it would or wouldn't lay down. This may have changed but not that I'm aware of. The "ultra bright" foil was somewhat thicker and tended to coil up if you cut a long slender strip for a window or side chrome.
  14. The US Postal Service should be much better than it is, are taxes are subsidizing the Post Office.
  15. Great looking paint and the BBS wheels really look good.
  16. I love it. I remember as a child the local lumber yard had just such a truck they would use for small deliveries. You really captured the look with this build, very creative idea.
  17. I remember seeing one of these when they first came out. I have always thought they were the best looking "Lemo" then and now.
  18. Very interesting, the idea of expanding the parts a little and reissuing a kit. Sounds a lot like the Round 2 business model.
  19. Beautiful looking ride. Starting out with a three year old car must have been special at the time. Your recreation looks great, did yours also have the trunk mounted "dummy" spare ? I have built a few kits of cars I have had in the past and it always brings back pleasant memories. My Avatar is a model of one of my best ones.
  20. Another fantastic looking build. You always make every part look so realistic. I built one of the '48 coupes with almost the same color. Having owned two different '46 thru '48 Fords a loooong time ago they hold a special place for me. I'm sorry to hear of your personal problems. I hope that something can be done with what ever brought this on.
  21. Great looking finishes on both the interior and the body. I like the additional wheel treatment.
  22. Great looking Woody. I can see why you get commission builds.
  23. "M" mentioned the Revell kit he purchased was not shrink wrapped and was only taped close. This last week I purchased the Farm Tractor kit and had the same experience. I was concerned that someone may have gotten into the kit to pilfer parts, but that was not the case as everything was intact. Maybe with all of the changes going on with Revell this maybe their new packaging. Mine was taped on both sides and both ends.
  24. And after these high paid CEO's put the company in the ditch they get a Golden Parachute and the working employees get zip. The CEO's way of making the companies profitable is to cut the pay and any benefit package employees may have. They rarely know how to make a business grow with any viable ideas of their own other than to slash and burn a company.
