Any word on the AMT '77 Pinto re-release? Haven't seen a thing on it anymore for a while, weirdly into having one of those again even if its not the MPC one.

Model Roundup has it coming out in June..

As a point of order, since I see the "When is xyz coming?" question asked so much.  What Casey is posting are the newest kits added to the Stephens International Distribution list, the newest stuff Round2 is releasing a kit number for at the time.  Generally speaking these kits are 4-6 months from being released.  So this latest batch - unless something shows unusually high pre-order interest - is late 2Q/early 3Q releases.

Looks like some different parts from the '25 Model T roadster kit.

Not quite sure exactly what is being referred to here, but wanted to make clear for those that are not familiar with this kit series, it is entirely different than the original AMT 1925 T  Trophy Series Double Kit tool.

No parts shared, and the buildup strategy is somewhat different too.   This applies to this '23T Roadster kit and the other two other Model T kits in this AMT tool, the Depot Hack and Delivery van kits.  None of these share anything with the original AMT '25T Double Kit.

BTW, the Depot Hack kit has instructions on adapting the street rod version of the '23T kit chassis/engine to the depot hack body.   I don't know if the tool configuration would support this, but a cool new kit release would be the '23T Street Rod kit chassis with the remainder of the Depot Hack kit....

Here's a pic of the '23 T parts (minus the stock oil pan).  Sorry that it's a little fuzzy.

NOTE-This is the vintage '70's-era kit, the pic is not from Round2

I kinda like those old Street Rods series tires.

Since the list said that its the snap kit that means it the one without the engine. It still builds into a nice shelf model.

The Batmobile----I wonder if this is the one with the engine as I remember there was a version with one and another without. I'd take the one with the engine.

Some minor trivia about the '23 T:  the steering wheel in that series of kits is bigger and more accurate than the one in the '25 T series of kits. See the photo below, with the '23 part on the left and the '25 wheel on the right.

That info comes from Model T master modeler Anthony Hazelaar.  Here's a link to his website, with his collection of Model T's and other early Fords.

I do too. The tread is best not talked about, but the overall size and proportions are surprisingly good. Was playing with them on a ‘64 Impala, and think the resulting stance is cool.

I'm glad to see the 23 T back, and I will definitely get one. It looks like it has some cool and unique parts. But, based on my experience with 70's tooled kits with their vague attachment points, that multi-piece frame could prove tricky to build

That frame is under the '23 T Depot Hack/C-cab delivery van kit. And yes, it can be tricky to build.  But, I'll be getting one to bash with the new Roadster to make a Hot Rod C-Cab.

I hear the Stingray bike is not an easy build. And if I remember correctly it came with decals to build it as the Apple Crate version? I'm hoping they offer us more choices in decals this time, so we can build other versions.

I am also very interested in the bike, not I kit I would ever expect to see (well, from an American company at least!) I agree that it seems like it would such little work to add the decals for the other Krate versions.

If it sells to those interest groups, why not? it might even pay for something I might be interested in...

And it's not like anyone is forcing you to use the Coke stuff.

I just think they risk overplaying their hand to Coke collectors, I mean almost everyone has a turn off switch where "enough is enough".  Right now there are a DOZEN Coca-Cola branded kits in the catalog counting these future releases, which doesn't factor in the kits that have already run their course and are back to being OOP.  Some of the things that got Coke branded were pretty quick turn around reissues of something that had just been put back in the catalog a few years prior.  IMHO the danger in that is that it's going to kill the sales of either the "generic" reissue or Coke reissue which everyone comes second to the general hobby market.  I'd be more on board if they were throwing in decals on things like the '78 Dodge P/U release - a kit that tangibly has never existed as the kit is being released - so you get all the sales from the builders AND the collectors, instead of trying to cater to both separately.

Think I've read here somewhere that these kits mostly sell, through channels other than where us hobbyists buy our stuff and assume the runs are fewer in numbers too.

But again to each his or her own....

Yea, they're not even giving you the first kit to try for free. ;)
