Yah, but I'm constantly amazed at the number of modelers who don't clean up seams, even on bodies. Cleaning off mold lines is Modeling 101--especially the ones that are gonna show on the shelf.

Even if Ollies charged $12.99, it wouldn't matter to me. I visited Atlanta a few years ago and there were a few Ollies in the area. I imagine Round2 made some changes to the new kit and wonder if buyers can say they are the same; unless you have both kits. Ollies has a lot of kits nobody really wants so they are cheap. There is now one on Grafton St. in Worcester, where Building 19 was. Charlie Larkin Edited July 12, 2021 by charlie8575 1

I don't mind doing it on parts but the body takes so much time and it's boring but it has to be done. I get pretty excited on some newer kits that barely have any noticeable seams at all.
Sledsel Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Maybe they can release this combo...... Yea, separate pieces are out there, but it would be nice with all parts and decals.

stavanzer Posted July 13, 2021 Posted July 13, 2021 I'd take it just the way it is, but I would prefer a stock Matador too.

I do it on parts that are in halves also like rear ends, seats and engines. I'd rather trim flash and clean seams of these older issue kits than not have the kit at all. I get tired of the belly acher's complaining about "another reissue" Personally, I am glad because I may have missed out of them before or I have been inspired by something and want to do different build of a kit. Case-in-point, AMT 66 Mustang.... I have a bunch of different builds of them.
niteowl7710 Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 I'll leave this here for consideration and debate. The next in the line of Hot Wheels marketing...
iBorg Posted July 29, 2021 Posted July 29, 2021 With the Hobby Search icon on the bottom, I'm guessing this isn't fantasy art. This is the Charger F/C going back to the Mr Norm's Charger from Polar Lights. With the exception of the pad printed tires, nothing new. I predict this one will show up at Ollie's where I'll buy a case, just in case.

I always grit my teeth when I watch a certain someone's YouTube videos and he leaves noticeable parting lines and even big chunks of feeder sprue on the bodies. I like to take a little pride in my builds. Granted, not everyone has mad skills, but why celebrate mediocrity? Do your best, or don't bother. Whew! And I promised myself I wouldn't do that... 3 1

Thing is I even see seasoned builders missing a very basic part of building a kit.

Even sadder is that it's not as if you have to fight with BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH like Squadron Green anymore, either. Most of my seams - IF the initial glue together with Tamiya or AK Extra Thin doesn't take care of it - can get dressed with either Vallejo Plastic Putty or Gunze Mr Surfacer in a matter of minutes. The lower valances on both my Tamiya Lotus Europa AND my Fujimi Ferrari 330P4 only needed a bare basic amount of sanding.

L o o o o o n g a g o........ I built this 40 Ford. Was so happy with the way it came out but now the mold lines on the front fenders just bother me. I keep thinking of a rebuild for it, but could never duplicate this paint job which I just love the way it came out. Sooooo..... it will just annoy me.
