Bainford Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Nicely done. The rust is very convincing, especially the staining. Very cool.
espo Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 I always enjoy looking at the way you weather / age your builds. Nice looking tires.
TransAmMike Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Great job Jay. ? My uncle had an identical '56.....but it wasn't a rust bucket ?
1959scudetto Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Well done, Mark - especially the bent chrome trim hanging down from the driver's door and the mounting holes in the left front fender.
mchook Posted May 26, 2021 Author Posted May 26, 2021 Thanks everyone. I think this will be my last post. Things are getting crazy here and I wont have much time to build. Not to mention I sell all these on ebay and they're making that harder to do. I build for fun but it's nice to get some extra $ for supplies to keep building. Anyway, I'll pop in when I can to see everyone's creativity. Thanks again!
NOBLNG Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 Well done!? That is one of the best weathering jobs I’ve seen....now sent it to me so I can restore it.? 1
Oldcarfan27 Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 Excuse me, but you're not supposed to post pictures of real cars on a modelling forum! Nice work. 1
doorsovdoon Posted May 29, 2021 Posted May 29, 2021 Great looking weathering. I really like the small details like the rusty trim clip holes and bent door trim. Very nice.
