I removed the kit rear window louvers, side marker lights, emblems, gas filler tail lights and wheel lip trim.  The interior was largely scratch built by reforming the dash and adding a photo reduced instrument cluster, heater controls, speaker grill and seat upholstery patern. The steering wheel was modified and scratch built door and window regulators were added. Outside the front bumper was filed to a more accurate shape and the hubcaps are the centers of the full wheel covers found in the Mountain Goat kit.  The grill emblem was made from a mold taken from the hub cap centers,  but it's a little oversize. Finally, the back bumper is a Rookie Resin 3d item (really nice!) with a home made hitch ball.

Paint is Ace Hardware spray cans with the clear coat sanded and polished.

This one took a lot of time but I like the results.

Thanks for looking.

That is a really great looking Jeep Dave. I always liked the older style grill and you did a fabulous job of back dating this kit.?

Great job back dating this build. The color looks like what you would have seen on a good basic work truck and the trim as well.

This sure looks nice. Much better than mine is turning out.

I wish Revell would backdate the grille and tool up some stock wheels. Throw in the camper shell that already exists, and you'd have an all new truck.

Thank you all for your encouraging words.  Wouldn't it be great if Moebius kitted this subject with some Wagoneer versions too? I think they would be good sellers.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the Jeep.

Nice. Brings me back to when my dad and my uncle first started to bring me out big game (buck) hunting with them. My uncle had the same Jeep with a small block Chevy engine and way more patina. No winch but I don't ever remember that thing getting stuck.
