disabled modeler Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Mark, the Ambassador convertible must be very rare - I've never seen or even heard of one. Wishing you luck in your continued search for parts.Peter.... Thanks..I need all the help i can find for the ones I have here...must be around 100 I need parts for. I do think the convertible is a bit more rare but I am a HT,sedan, wagon kind of guy myself when is comes to cars. Sometimes I get tired of searching for parts for them but have to.
ChrisBcritter Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Last night I stopped by Hobby Lobby just to buy a saw blade. We all know how that goes...The clearance rack at the Deerfield, IL store had two '36 Ford kits on a second markdown of $8.63, so I finally broke down and got one (The other's still there, along with a Revell Big Daddy Roth '57 Chevy for the same price, if anyone local wants it). Also got the old Pyro/Lindberg '52 Chevy for $3.95; a bit of childhood nostalgia.Oh yeah - used the coupon for the saw blade.
GeeBee Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I've already got two of these in the stash, but I picked this one up for £25.00
Tom Geiger Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I've already got two of these in the stash, but I picked this one up for £25.00I have my eye out for one of those at a cheap price. I don't think a lot of US dealers gambled on these because I haven't seen one at a hobby shop or show. I don't want to pay a lot because I'd like to own one, but I don't think I'd be getting around to actually building it. I did measure off the top shelf in my show case and it will fit!
Olskoolrodder Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The last of 4 kits I had coming from Japan was delivered
Mike999 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 From Lucky Model yesterday, received the EBBRO Citroen DS19 and EBBRO/ASUKA Renault Fourgon Boulangerie (bakery van). I was very happy to see the DS19 roof had no breaking or warping issues. For those who've never dealt with them, everything I've ever ordered from Lucky Model has always been packaged very carefully. Every kit box is individually wrapped in bubble-wrap, and the overall shipping box is heavy cardboard.
SVTInterceptor Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Picked up this Moebius/Model King 1969 Ford F-100 yesterday. Not sure if I should hold onto this sealed kit or put it in the queue for future buildification. Been waiting MONTHS to get a hold of this too.
ZTony8 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) One of the model clubs I belong to bought up a former club president's collection of over 800 car and truck kits, built ups and promos. So yesterday we split a good chunk of the haul.I picked up 26 kits(including 8 Jo-Han mid 80s re-issues,3 still sealed and enough pieces to build a '66 Caddy ambulance plus spares),some wheel sets, and a nicely foiled '59 Dodge Jo-Han(X-EL) promo. Earlier in the weekend I got 3 Heller Citroen rally car kits, the new Moebius Ventura and the Round 2 re-issue of the 1960 Corvette and then my nearest hobby shop put some kits on clearance and I picked up the 1979 version of the Tamiya Lotus 79 F1 car( been waiting 2 years for that to go on sale) and the Wurth liveried Group 5 Capri. I can now walk faster since my wallet is so much lighter. Edited January 18, 2016 by ZTony8

PatW Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Through ebay here in the UK, with a pretty good discount...........
KeithJackson Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I was checking out a different Ollie's from the one I normally go to in order to see what they had. They just had the state police cars, but they also had the Silly Surfer models that some of you have been discussing. They also had some of the Frantics, also by Hawk. They had at least 3 out of the 4 in the set. I wish that they had the Weird-Ohs. I might have bought some of them.
thatz4u Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 a Mopar Book, lots of pictures & info from the 50's to the 70's..
unclescott58 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Got the Round 2 reissue of AMT's mid to late 70's VW Scirocco. A quick glance in side the box, everything looks great. I wrote a little more about it the kit review section. The one real question I have, which I brought up there, is what year Scirocco does this kit represent exactly? The original style front end, with the single windshield wiper, makes me guess either 1976 or 1977. Does anybody know for sure?

Deathgoblin Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Got in a lot from Ebay with a Revell Ferrari Enzo, Revell 58 T-Bird, and an AMT NASCAR Pontiac Grand Prix all 3 complete. Waiting on a lot to come in with a bunch of BMW stuff. That's the one I'm excited about. Got a Revell BMW 635CSi, Heller BMW 328, Revell Z1 and ROG BMW 507.
