MeatMan Posted Tuesday at 08:56 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:56 PM Bought the 99 S-10 Extreme kit. Looks good at first glance. I'm glad the side skirts are separate, I'm building mine for my brother with a 98 so I'll be doing away with those. As a result, I'll have to design & print a new rear bumper. I may keep the front bumper with spoiler though. That would be more surgery that I'm comfortable with. 3

Big John Posted Tuesday at 09:18 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:18 PM (edited) A very nice set of decals from "STS scale model decals" from my layouts. Included are a set for a Wenmac Spirit of America, a rocket LSR, my Bugatti LSR, and Barber Warnock and Roar With Gilmore for a couple of early Indy cars. One less Reason to avoid my projects! FoMoCo66 Posted Wednesday at 03:12 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:12 AM I raided hobby lobby of the rest of the evergreen stock I potentially might need. Also got some cool testors bottles and jewelers wire, just should have gotten a couple different sizes of the wire. 3
Ulf Posted Wednesday at 09:15 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:15 AM Why, why, why didn't I buy this earlier? It's so incredibly good that I'm considering having it bound in hardcover. 7
lvfd221 Posted Wednesday at 04:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:42 PM Couple that I picked up over the week end. 8
The Junkman Posted Thursday at 01:48 AM Posted Thursday at 01:48 AM Saw a news article that the closest thing to me that could be considered a hobby shop is closing (retirement-good for them). Now my closest one is 125 miles one way (Berkeley, CA). I went to the soon to be closed shop and got a AMT 1966 GT350 kit after being assured that there was enough good qualities to make this worth the purchase. 3 Tamiya spray bombs with fluorescent red and orange and Gunship Grey. Also 2 Tamiya paint bottles with clear red and clear orange (one can't paint enough taillights and turn signals.) 2
FoMoCo66 Posted Thursday at 10:27 PM Posted Thursday at 10:27 PM We're in the Denver area for a family wedding and had time to kill before having lunch at Casa Bonita. I decided to stop at a local hobby shop, Colpar's Hobby Town in Arrora Colorado. An absolutely amazing store, for context, back home all I have access to is a hobby lobby and a severely understocked hobby shop. So the variety of paints, scratchbuilding supplys, and kits was amazing, I was like a kid in a candyshop. This is what I got, they had both the model a truck and sedan, same series, same price, same condition. I went with the truck, would have gotten both but there's not enough room in my bags. 5

Ace-Garageguy Posted Saturday at 06:45 PM Posted Saturday at 06:45 PM Found a reasonably well-built Monogram 1/24 Scarab for $10. I have a few of these as NIB kits, but this one will probably be the one that gets (re)built. I'd like to show it with the front-engined Strombecker version. 7

I used the frame and drivetrain to make the Foxy Box van 4X4, and the plow went to replica of my plow truck. So today I corrected all of that nonsense and used a gift card to get the Big Game Country pickup to put the painted body purpose again. I also purchased another Warlock Dodge since the 4x4 system went under the long bed 78 Dodge to make a M880, and the 2WD from that went to the Warlock to make another Roadkill vehicle. The Mopar Muscle Truck! Stealing from Peter to pay Paul only leads to more models purchased.🙄 Beautiful paint!
Joe Handley Posted yesterday at 04:45 AM Posted yesterday at 04:45 AM Been wanting to get one of these to do a Kustom where I would modify it further to enhance the existing asymmetrical design of the car. Picked it up for $32 today. 3
