I think I've got at least 10 now of  Lindberg Color Me Gone  Dodge kits . Actually I have at least 4 or 5 of EACH of the Lindberg 1964 Dodge or Plymouth kits.

Just last week I bought 4 of the Polar Lights Candies + Hughes Cuda funnycars at Ollies,,,,, For $8 each I couldn't pass them up as parts kits

Have you built one? I did. Fun build (I polished the purple plastic) but I can't imagine wanting to build a second one.

I intend to build one OOB eventually, as I like the design. The rest are donors for other projects...and they were extremely cheap when I was buying.  :D

I have around 20 of the AMT USA-1 monster truck kit I use for donors, and 14 of the Lindberg Ramminator kits for the same purpose. For kits I actually intend to build in some resemblance of the box contents I have 6 California Hauler kits.

I've got a bunch of those Lindberg '64 Dodge / Plymouth kits as well, but most of them are missing some parts or they have been built already. Why? Well, that kit has a good chassis and engine for many early '60s Mopar Super Stocks, like '61 Ramchargers Dodge Phoenix that I'm building. This is a bit surprising that I have so many of these, as I'm not a Mopar guy...

As I usually buy only one copy of a single kit, I think pretty much the only one I have multiples is the Trumpeter '63 Nova. I have two HTs and one Convertible, but I'm always looking more of them. You can't have too many 1st Gen Novas / Chevy IIs on your stash (I have a real '62 Chevy II myself).

Someone was buying those Sting Ray III kits!  I remember talking to one of the AMT/Ertl folks at a meet somewhere, and someone else asked him why they tooled their promo model when Revell already had done a kit.  His response was, that they'd found out that it was a consistent seller for Revell, so they (Ertl) thought they could grab a slice of that pie.  For a while there, you could go to a model car swap meet and expect to see that kit (built, unbuilt, started) on, or under, a number of tables...

Around 20 of the Polar Lights Talladega and Mercury Cyclone NASCAR kits. Hard to build, takes some fitting and body work but they can be done nicely. Also good for parts for other late 60's and early 70's stock cars. The chassis, with a few tweaks is great under the 71 Cyclone and the 66 Fairlane, 67 Comet.

I just wish more decals were available for the Talladega, kit still available and almost no decals.

Now that you mention it, I don't remember if the one I built was AMT or Revell! I do know it was a snapper and was molded in purple. I'll have to take a look tonight and see.

I have around 20 each of each of the three main Fujimi GT3 kits (McLaren 12C, BMW Z4, and Mercedes SLS AMG) for "blanks" for livery decals I have, which doesn't count another 3 or 4 of each in the actual liveried race versions Fujimi produced although none of those repeat each other.

Then I have 10 of the new BMW M3s, and 12 BMW M6s on pre-order.

Mine are purple, definitely Revell, but full detail with nice engine, suspension and other useful parts.  Image result for revell stingray III

The snapper is AMT.   Image result for revell stingray III

I don't belong here since two is the most of any kit I've bought and most were mistakes of memory!  :D

You must (fortunately) be immune to the more-is-better syndrome some of us seem to be afflicted with.

I seem to rationalize that I need one kit to build, one for spares in case I ruin a part (yeah, kinda unlikely) and at least a couple more for off-the-wall projects or donors. Nutso.

But hey...I'm having fun, and I no longer spend anything on wine, women and song.  ;)

Having fun is MOST importunate.

I still spend kit cash on a wine substitute

For a while I was buying the reissue Attempt I when they were $4.00 at the clearance stores. The dragster chassis and slicks made it worth it. I still have about 4 or 5.

Next is Groovy Graders - 5. Like the wide tires. The rare out of the cheap range now.

Finally, I'll always pick up a Pontiac Banshee for the full tubular chassis and IRS suspension. They are still easy to find as cheap build-ups.

Here is one with a bit of modification.

Here's mine:

Bought a bunch (10 -12) of the Revell 77 GMC pickups for the snow plows, probably would have been cheaper to learn how to resin cast the parts!

I bought at least a dozen of the '88 Dodge Daytona kits when RC2 reissued the kit some years back, the did the same last year with AMT's new Snap General Lee kit.  I bought the Daytona kits since I'm a bit of Turbo Mopar nut and didn't know when the kit would be back out. With the GL Snap kit, I bought one when it first came out, liked it, then when the whole mess with that kid shooting up that church, I didn't know if that kit was going to remain in production, get turned into something different, or just be dropped all together, never to be seen again, so I figured that if I could still get them for now, might as well buy a few!

I bought a LOT of Monogram NASCAR kits, all basically the same except for the bodies if that counts :o

A while back a dealer donated a mess of those to our show to give away as door prizes.  Couldn't give them away... those and anything 1/20 scale Lindberg!

I don't buy copies of model car kits, I just buy the actual kits.

Twist ending... it probably ISN'T the Moebius Hudson Hornets everyone is thinking I buy in bulk (though they're right up there), it is likely the Revell '32 Ford five-window... so many cool parts in that one that even if you rob a bunch of stuff from a kit, you still have enough left to build a complete car. I probably had close to 30 of just that one kit on hand at one point.

I walked into an Ames Department Store and they had Don Garlits Wynns Jammers for something like $2.79 each. I loved the kit in the sixites and could ignore the ugly black box art. I bought 18 of them.
