  1. Hard to tell that is a model! Fantastic work and photography!
  2. I agree. This scheme and Earnhardt's black#3 cars are my favorites.
  3. It may be rare, but it is not a very good kit, I have a built one and it is a very simplified snap kit. The motor, wheels and tires are very toy like. It's one of those kits that is on Ebay for big $$$, but could show up at a local show for $10-$15 dollars......They also made a snap Firebird convertible about the same vintage.

Great looking VW! Nice stance and you nailed the weathering, very realistic!
  5. Nice job, looks good and displays well, even without paint!
  6. THose full size Chevys look good as race cars! Your model is coming along really well!
  7. Very clever design and execution! I love everything about it. Great design and color choices throughout the build!
  8. There is a 1/24 Hellcat wide body available also, by Welly. I have one in orange and I have seen it in yellow. You can get them on ebay. I have seen them in boxes at Walmart too. I got mine at CVS, they sell them on a rack in the toy aisle, no box.
  9. Awesome job! Looks great as a pro street. The motor really looks good!
  10. Wow! Super nice! Love the color and the Cammer motor!
  11. Another masterpiece. Art more so than model!
  12. Tremendous job! Looks great!
  13. It's supposed to be an Oldsmobile. The kits origin was the old Blue Beetle from the 60's and that had a Cadillac with a 6x2 intake. The blocks are the same. The heads and intake were changed in the Boss A Bone version, to look like an Olds and were carried into the Early Iron version you have. The recent Blue Bandito version brought back the Cadillac style motor, but it doesn't have the Cadillac script valve covers that were in the original.
  14. Nice job! Like what you did with the front bumper and adding the Moon tank. Great color and stance.
  15. A 4-speed and interior console swap are relatively easy to do. The nice thing about this car is it doesn't have a different hood, grille, tail lights, or trim specific to the high performance model. Like say a Chevelle SS or GTO. Also I was looking at the hardtop roofline and the AMT '65 GTO will probably work, as others have mentioned. I am glad to see this kit back, I had a nice unbuilt convertible and sold it a few years ago.
  16. I was just looking and unless I missed something, there isn't that much difference between the standard F85 convertible and the 442 for '64. Looks to be mechanical stuff you would not see in a model, like beefier motor and chassis upgrades. The only real difference is the 442 emblems/badging that are added. These could be replicated if someone does a photo etch set.
  17. While it looks like it was a pretty nice build the first time, you did a great job on the resto. The color combination is just perfect and you did a really neat and clean build overall!
