vamach1 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 (edited) Can 2020 get any worse. RIP 007. Edited October 31, 2020 by vamach1
magicmustang Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Oh no! Best James bond ever. Got to build this now.
DonW Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 He was indeed the greatest Bond, but also great in other roles. RIP indeed.
Joe Handley Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/31/entertainment/sean-connery-actor-dead-scli-intl/index.html Looks like we’ve lost another one?
Belugawrx Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Rest in Peace Mr. Connery "The man who would be king" still one of my all time favorite movies
Pete J. Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Best Bond ever? Yes but I liked him best in Indian Jones and the last crusade. That wry caustic humor that he did so well, very well played. He will be missed.
TonyK Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Just got through reading all about him. My wife loved him and I always liked him as an actor and especially the way he portrayed the Bond character. Just never seemed to take it too serious which sold me on the movies. I didn't take it that seriously either so it worked for me.
Nazz Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 That is sad news, I have always loved watching him in all his works. Everything from his works with Disney to Dragon heart to First Knight and of coarse the James Bond series. He was in my opinion, a great actor and will be missed. Rest in peace 007. Jerry
Khils Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Certainly WILL be missed! Rest in Peace Mr Connery! As Bond .007 yes I concur.....the best Bond! I remember him best for Red October. Guess this makes it a Blue October now...Sad day!
von Zipper Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 This is very sad news ! My all time favorite role Sean Connery played was in the Disney classic~ Darby O'Gill and the Little People
NYLIBUD Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 How about the movie,Family Business?Great movie with Dustin Hoffman. He played a thief, and portrayed Dustin Hoffman’s father, and Mathew Broderick’s grandfather. And it was actually filmed on Long Island, and NYC.If you haven’t seen it,do yourself a favor, and watch it.
Danno Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Loved Connery's acting! He always brought the best to every role. Of course, 007 was his classic, but I also really liked his portrayal of the Irish cop in "The Untouchables" as well as Indy Jones' father. He'll be missed, but we'll always have his movies to enjoy into the future! ?
Snake45 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 Just saw him the other day in A Bridge Too Far. "Three days, they said! We've been here nine!"
Matt Bacon Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 (edited) If you haven’t seen it, check out “The Man Who Would Be King”... Connery and Michael Caine at their very best. This hit me harder than I expected... I think because he was such an icon throughout my growing up years. And I agree , while he was James Bond for me, I love Professor Henry Jones more... “Junior...” best, M. Edited October 31, 2020 by Matt Bacon
Phirewriter Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 God's speed Mr Connery, the first and best 007.
1930fordpickup Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Best 007 for me, my favorite roll he played was in Highlander. He was great in so many rolls.
Tom Geiger Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 He was a great actor! On the positive side he did live 90 years, which is more than many folks get!
slusher Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 He was an actor who made the movies better if he was in them. I will miss him. R. I. P. Mr Connery
