Since I had two of the 1969 annual issue, 1969 Torino kits, I needed to build one.

A friend of mine had a Red/Red 69 Torino GT, so I modeled mine after his.

To me, this kit is a great example of a kit from the past that captures the look of the 1:1 really, really well. Back when it was first released, I doubt there were many saying it "doesn't have the correct fender-shape" or "needs a bigger windshield-opening"... or any of the variety of critiques that kits issued today receive.

AMT did some really good models back then and this is a perfect example! Your build looks terrific... just how I remember these 1:1 Torino's from back-in-the-day... well done!

Great looking build. This does really show how these looked when new. I thought the roof design from the Mustang looked good on the Fairlane. Very clean looking stock trim and stripes.

Nice looking Torino Tom! My brother had one that was a pale yellow (probably Phoenician Yellow) with black stripes and interior. I'd like to build a replica of it someday. But, it's hard to give the money these command.

Always liked this body style Torino. You have done an excellent job with it, very nice paint work.

I agree!
