  1. I cut out the seat cushions and seat back and filled the openings with sheet plastic to get a competition look for my C4 Lightweight project. I scratch built a full roll cage.
  2. Fujimi gets cheap sometimes and does not modify their stock body kits for their competition versions. In addition they have been known to include only stock interior and no roll cage parts for their race/rally kits. Frustrating!
  3. Nice looking project. I have always liked these cars. Similar body style to the Lancia Beta Montecarlo that I'm currently building. Here is the stock body Montecarlo.
  4. Glad you like the builds Atin. Thank you Gabor. Not a very common kit, they appear on eBay from time to time.
  5. Here is one in dark brown.
  6. Your 914/6GT builds look good - hope you share it with me when it is finished. I use 1.6 mm solid rod not tubing for the roll cage. I used 2.5 mm solder for the turbo piping as it was easy to bend.
  7. Not sure either but here are larger photos. It is present in period photos as well.
  8. Nice looking build. Did you detail engine, suspension, etc. using the manual?
  9. My father worked at a Ford dealership. As a kid I would watch the drivers unload the cars from the haulers. I wouldn't want to have to load or unload those upper decks!
  10. Thank you Simon. Fujimi has issued several of their Porsche 911 kits as curbsides with the bottom half of the engine molded in-place. I like to use those chassis, suspension and interior tubs to simplify the build process and add the detailed EM (Enthusiast) kit parts to them. This thread will give you an idea which kit where issued as curbside kits. https://race-car-models.proboards.com/thread/1173/fujimi-enthusiast-kits
  11. What is your plan for attaching the PE scripts, emblems, etc. to the body?
  12. Interesting that Fiat and Lancia used a Magneti Marelli distributor as did Ferrari.
  13. The wheels and stance announce this thing means business.

    Agree, very nice.
  15. Great looking project.
  16. Very nice.
  17. Thanks Mike. I would like to find another short-tail kit but building two of these might be enough for me.
  18. I have the HTF version of the Johan Comet with full trim.
  19. Chip is very talented but I don't' care for most of his designs but I like this one. A little offset in the wheels would look better IMHO. They look too donk-ish for my liking.
  20. The Jolly Club 1980 Daytona 24 entry did have a full cage so I fabricated the front half.
  21. Excellent work my friend. Love the wheels.
