Well done Scott. An example of how it should be done!

I ordered his V12 LS engine and it was really nice. It did take a while but I don't think it was three months. Maybe two though, but I expected that because he states on his site that orders take 3 weeks to produce depending on when the order was placed, then shipping over the border to his second party mailer, then U.S. handling and shipping. As far as collecting money; when you pay via Paypal they don't collect until the vendor says they shipped it. So if someone is collecting via PP and there's no one producing product then there is an issue. I have said it before, resin casters don't communicate well, and I don't think many have a system for prioritizing orders by first come first served so some orders fall through the cracks as I have experienced. Even from some reputable casters. Some casters say that it takes away production time to send emails. What's a customer to do? They need to notify us in some way that there is an issue, and how many weeks they are behind. Maybe in a mass mailing. My two cents anyway.

The best bits I've bought were Tamiya. Not the smallest sizes but they work for everything I've needed them for. 1MM, 1.5MM, 2MM, 2.5MM, 3MM Previously I bought a set that had no tips, and a set that bent line wire, both from Amazon.

What's your favorite online hobby supply place?
MeatMan replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I use HobbyLinc unless I can find it on Amazon. I do eBay for parts and stuff if I can find a deal from a reputable source. For "really" hard to find stuff I use Spotlight and Model Roundup, but they are on the pricier end. -

I'd say yes, as long as that style was available when the car was new. I just think they were trying to make sure the big oversized racks weren't used. 8.2 Roof racks are permitted provided they meet the following specification: - They must be of a design available at the time the car was in production - They must be made of metal - They must be no longer or wider than the roof panel - They must have sides no higher than 45 cm (18 inches) - The roof rack and spare wheels must not be covered

Wow! Thanks. -
A quick update on the Tiger. Well we finally got the engine back from the speed shop. Had the heads opened up to get the compression ratio down to 8.0:1 so that it will run on that bad Mongolian fuel. We changed the carb to an Edelbrock small bore 4 barrel to help increase the torque, and went to a high flow water pump. The gang and I threw on a pair of Cobra valve covers we had laying around, along with a set of headers which we had ceramic coated to hold in the heat. Finally we dug up some racing seat frames which we plan to add some padding to.

I have a spare set from the Revell Camaro kit that I have extras of. These aren't as deep as the pic you show, but it is possible to take the centers out and glue them into deep rims. Also, I don't have the wheel backs.

3D printed Turbo chargers
MeatMan replied to astroracer's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks Mark. I used to play around with TurboCad years back but never really got serious. -
These kinds of builds are the reason why we need regulation of model cars. This kind of unchecked imagination can be detrimental to mental health. ...but I love it!!
