  1. Hmmmm, I wonder if that means we will get the long bed step side kit?
  2. So it's been "De-Foosed"? Always liked this car, could never bring myself to build one though.
  3. Yes, the first three have sizable amounts owed to them and are smaller in business size than a Paasche, Badger, Iwata and the courts will decide who gets what. The fact that Moebius has a new owner and Tamiya and Testors are part of a larger company should help. All we can do is wait and see. I don't see the end of those businesses, but maybe they market their product differently going forward.
  4. They will most likely settle for a fraction of what they are owed, how much will be determined by the courts. Because this is a chapter 11 bankruptcy, there is a better chance of recovering some money, usually not all. It's possible an investment group buys the whole enchilada and because most of the debt will be erased, it could be a profitable operation. There will be more information in the coming days, hopefully it will be good news!
  5. Still waiting on the Cornbinder pickup! Nice photo etch Dave.
  6. Just looked at the display cases, it's a tie between silver, red, blue & gray at 7 each, followed by black and orange at 6. I do use a lot of black for chassis and detail work. I was going to say gray primer but I use white primer too and those were 5 each!
  7. Anybody have any experience with these products? Quality? Service? Value? Someone pointed out they have a conversion for the 86 El Camino to a stock front end and I am interested, but was wondering what others had experienced.
  8. Sounds like you paid fair market value for them, were they brand new? LOL
  9. I'll pass on both, not my cup of tea.
  10. Absolutely beautiful and a work of art! Your builds always amaze me with the details and accuracy you include in them. Are you still planning to build a wrecker with one of these cabs?
  11. Wanna trade? I prefer the stock over the SS. Let me know, happy to trade, I will even leave the mini bike in the kit if you want it!
  12. Thanks Rob, I couldn't remember which kit it was that had the correct FACTORY front end on it. Would be nice to see this kit again.
  13. My guess would be that they will check every corner of the backrooms and warehouses and if there is something there to push out on to the sales floor, they will. Being in bankruptcy will force them to sell EVERYTHING to satisfy the creditors. While they haven't had a regular section for models in a long time, might be some old stuff getting ready to be sold. I am guessing whatever leftover toys there are will end up at Ollie's.
  14. Technically it is a conversion vehicle done by an outside contractor who had an agreement with GM to do these vehicles as well as vans, Suburbans, Blazers and Pickups. Not every dealer had these for sale, only those that chose to carry them as well as the aforementioned vehicles. In other words, it's like a Yenko Camaro or Nova from the 60's/70's. My statement still stands, if it had the stock "FACTORY INSTALLED" front end treatment, I would be more interested in this kit.
  15. Or you could settle for some poor quality knockoffs on eBay and save a couple of bucks.....................NOT! His products and service are the best!
  16. Better chance of winning the lottery than Round2 fixing flaws in a 40 year old kit! As for tires, probably going to be the old Gates Commando tires. I would rather see a new tool of the first generation Scout or even a nice resin conversion kit, but won't hold my breath! There are a few IH vehicles that would be nice to have, starting with a mid 60's pickup and a mid 70's pickup!
  17. Name? Quality? Might be interested if it's a quality piece. Thanks!
  18. I'd like it more if the 'Camino could be built stock. I have most of the El Camino kits years and it sure would be nice if this one had a stock front end. Might have to get one and try my hand at a conversion.
  19. Use the drivetrain from the recent GMC Deserter pickup kit.
  20. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA About whizzed myself laughing at that one!
  21. No doubt, but those Poocher kits start out kinda pricey to begin with. I would think if Harry was still here and needed cash he MIGHT consider selling them, but he had so much time and pride invested in them I can see why he would be reluctant to do so. Whether one builds a kit or buys it completed doesn't matter to me, as long as they enjoy the hobby! Same thing in the 1:1 world- some people can build their own cars and others have the means to buy one, that is why guys like Dave Kindig and Chip Foose are in business.
  22. Sending you a text with some pix of what I was able to find.
  23. Another beautiful example of your craftsmanship Charlie! Such great details, perfect execution and unique subject matter. If you had a different background for your pictures, you could pass this off as the real thing
  24. Let me dig through my wheel stash today, they look vaguely familiar, might have something close.
  25. Gabriel, the chassis in the 86 El Camino is very basic, little detail and I believe has metal axles. Better choices out there!
