  1. Wanna trade? I prefer the stock over the SS. Let me know, happy to trade, I will even leave the mini bike in the kit if you want it!
  2. Thanks Rob, I couldn't remember which kit it was that had the correct FACTORY front end on it. Would be nice to see this kit again.
  3. My guess would be that they will check every corner of the backrooms and warehouses and if there is something there to push out on to the sales floor, they will. Being in bankruptcy will force them to sell EVERYTHING to satisfy the creditors. While they haven't had a regular section for models in a long time, might be some old stuff getting ready to be sold. I am guessing whatever leftover toys there are will end up at Ollie's.
  4. Technically it is a conversion vehicle done by an outside contractor who had an agreement with GM to do these vehicles as well as vans, Suburbans, Blazers and Pickups. Not every dealer had these for sale, only those that chose to carry them as well as the aforementioned vehicles. In other words, it's like a Yenko Camaro or Nova from the 60's/70's. My statement still stands, if it had the stock "FACTORY INSTALLED" front end treatment, I would be more interested in this kit.
  5. Or you could settle for some poor quality knockoffs on eBay and save a couple of bucks.....................NOT! His products and service are the best!
  6. Better chance of winning the lottery than Round2 fixing flaws in a 40 year old kit! As for tires, probably going to be the old Gates Commando tires. I would rather see a new tool of the first generation Scout or even a nice resin conversion kit, but won't hold my breath! There are a few IH vehicles that would be nice to have, starting with a mid 60's pickup and a mid 70's pickup!
  7. Name? Quality? Might be interested if it's a quality piece. Thanks!
  8. I'd like it more if the 'Camino could be built stock. I have most of the El Camino kits years and it sure would be nice if this one had a stock front end. Might have to get one and try my hand at a conversion.
  9. Use the drivetrain from the recent GMC Deserter pickup kit.
  10. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA About whizzed myself laughing at that one!
  11. No doubt, but those Poocher kits start out kinda pricey to begin with. I would think if Harry was still here and needed cash he MIGHT consider selling them, but he had so much time and pride invested in them I can see why he would be reluctant to do so. Whether one builds a kit or buys it completed doesn't matter to me, as long as they enjoy the hobby! Same thing in the 1:1 world- some people can build their own cars and others have the means to buy one, that is why guys like Dave Kindig and Chip Foose are in business.
  12. Sending you a text with some pix of what I was able to find.
  13. Another beautiful example of your craftsmanship Charlie! Such great details, perfect execution and unique subject matter. If you had a different background for your pictures, you could pass this off as the real thing
  14. Let me dig through my wheel stash today, they look vaguely familiar, might have something close.
  15. Gabriel, the chassis in the 86 El Camino is very basic, little detail and I believe has metal axles. Better choices out there!
  16. Nice pair of pickups, helps to have the real thing to use as reference!
  17. Nice job! Love the color choices, looks perfect!
  18. Might want to consider something other than the AMT/MPC Elky chassis as it is pretty basic with little detail. Might want to use the new Cutlass chassis and modify it as needed.
  19. I dunno Joe, have you priced a dozen doughnuts at Dunkin lately? $270 is about 25 dozen, even less if they bought a couple of boxes of coffee!
  20. I like Graveyard Carz for the education on Mopars, could do without the antics of the owner. I like how the cars are restored to day one and not all customized. I also like Bitchin' Rides as I think they crank out some really nice customs with minimal drama. This contradicts my statement above, but you asked! Also like the helping someone out aspect of Garage Squad. Some drama there, but a lot of the action takes place in my home state of Illinois, so I try to look around for familiar areas. And they tend to be budget minded and not about the $250k custom builds. Restoration Garage for it's variety of vehicles, nothing boring there! Finally, Iron Resurection because of Joe's wife Amanda.
  21. That is beautiful, very nicely painted and detailed.
  22. Right now, there are only 3 car manufacturers in NASCAR and Hendrick has 2 of them as dealerships. Considering the cost of being in NASCAR, I can't see Dodge returning any time soon so the only logical move would be to Toyota cars. Given the history HMS has with Chevrolet and the number of championships they have won, the fact that HMS gives GM their best chance at winning, I would tend to think that GM will do whatever they have to do to keep HMS in the GM racing stable. Give the GM teams another month of racing the new Camaro and I think you will find they get it figured out and find the winner's circle. While Jimmy tends to play down his 7 championships, you know he and Chad would love to win #8 together and cement their standing among the best driver/crew chief combos. But hey, what do I know? I didn't even stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I will the next 5 nights!
  23. I'm no business analyst but I can do math, so if there is 23% of A/R to Assets, that could be a good buy for the right company. Of course if that A/R is more than 60-90 days, that would indicate a collection problem unless they have a policy for certain customers to extend payment, which sometimes happens with large accounts (HL, AC Moore, Michael's). It will be interesting to watch this unfold and see where Revell lands, just might fall into the hands of a foreign company. Maybe Marcus Lemonis from The Profit will step in and buy Revell, he lives in the Chicago suburbs not too far from Revell offices!
  24. They briefly announced on the evening news here in Charlotte that Lowe's Home Improvement is leaving HMS and NASCAR at the end of the season after over 20 years in the sport. I am sure they will find another sponsor for Jimmy but his lackluster performance the last 40 races might have had something to do with them leaving. That said, they have to be happy with their association with HMS and JJ.
  25. Search the internet, there might be a die cast of a 2003, otherwise like you have stated, the Revell kit is a starting point if you are up for scratch building the grille.
