Scott, you are sick, or alone. I'm now planning on buying the Gremlin kit, just to rob the stock rims from it, for my Pacer Wagon. That will leave me with a Gremlin, and some excess AMC parts. I wonder how the Gremlin will look with the Pacer baby moon wheels?

Thanks, Scott. So the kit right out of the Box should make a fine Tow Vehicle. Esp since it will have a 283 in it. Now to get a trailer. Well, I've got plenty of time.

Would the 1/2 ton Suburban in this kit, be an adequate tow vehicle for a race car on a trailer? I'm looking at building one for that purpose, but wonder if it is too small/short/light to do the job. Thanks,

I stopped by Hobby Lobby last night to see if the had the '30. No Luck. They did have the '29. My H.L. has not gotten the Pacer Wagon or the Squad Rod yet. Hopefully by Christmas. I may try the LHS for the '30, but I've got one already, and can wait until there are more.

The '50 Vert has a much nicer set of optional custom taillight setups.. The Hopped up Flattie from the '50 will drop right into the '49 as well. I have both kits, and have to say that cross kitting will yield some great builds.

So, I wonder what will fill in that missing corner on the Chrome Tree? It's there for a reason.... Looks like I'll be heading off the Fireball Model Werks for Wheels/Tires when I build mine. Those bulky, Cheesy off road tyres are just offputting to me. No Thanks, Revell. Try again on the next version of this kit. The rest of the kit looks killer. Just need some Forest Service Decals and that odd 1970's Govt Green paint that you saw on all F/S trucks.

Not going to worry at all about this until Revell officially says something about it. And in today's world, sooner or later, they will have to address this rumor one way or another. Until then, It's just so internet rumormongering.

Well, looks like after hitting a number of Home Runs in last quarter 2016, Round2 has given over the Modeling budget to Revell in First quarter 2017. Nothing on that Round2 list engenders any excitement at all in me. But, that's OK. I've been spending a lot more than planned this year on Round2 kits, so it will all even out later.

Seeing this kit, started me looking for them. Wow! They sure fetch good money over there on the auction site. Maybe time for the guys at Round2 to look over the tool (s) for this series of kits and see what can be squeezed out. Given the huge variety of options to the same basic tool (especially in the early 1980's) a kit that featured some assortment of Fender Flares, Snow Plow Spoilers and intake options would sell to both new buyers and folks restoring these kits. Hopefully the Volare, Duster, and Nova kits have sold well enough to make this a potential future kit. Alan

Yes, I agree with you. The Suburban will make a better tow vehicle than the Bronco, and the Bronco does have a hitch.

Man, I did not think to try a wheel swap like that. I don't have a Rat Roaster, but I do have both the '29 and '30 kits. Time to go play with tires. Thanks Casey

I could na wait longer. Got one Yesterday at Hobby Lobby with the 40% coupon. Looks great in the box. Bunch of small, individual bags with small trees in them I suspect we'll see the stock version next year.

My Hobby Lobby has nothing but Academy 1/144 Spitfires left. About a dozen of them, and a couple of lonely 1/32 Round2 Avanti's.

I have one of the 1987 versions of the kit. I'd like to have another, but the kit is a typical 1970's MPC as far as detail goes. Nothing really to write home about. That said, if you like MPC it is as good as anything else they did from that time. I'd certainly be in for more, if it came out.

I'd like to get rid of mine. Waste of time & effort to me, IMHO. But, I have not thrown any away either. Just too much trouble to take out and get rid of.

Somehow the straight on side view of the '64 Blazer in Blue Green, just does not look as good as the White 4x4 Photoshop. The proportions of the Bluegreen one look 'off' in some way that I cannot put into words. As for 4x4 Front Axles, I'd guess that either the AMT '72 Blazer or the MPC Snap Blazer could be a starting point. As for the Suburban itself, It looks just great so far. I'll need one.

Thanks for the input Tim & Luc. You guys know far more about this stuff than I do. I should just rack down another kit, and buy one. Does anybody know what issues those articles Tim mentions are in? I'd like to try to get the back issues or at least copies of the articles to read. They sound great. Alan

Yeah, I'm glad it is stock too. There are still enough of the '65 Chevy 2'n'1 kits around that you can source 19" rims and Chrome goodies from if you want to customize your "Burban. That said, it would have been nice as a 4x4 as we could then put those parts under the '64-'66 Pick ups to make 4x4's out of them too. I have to think though, that since modern Revell Policy emphasizes maxim tool utility, that there may be more coming on the 'Burban from in a year or two.

Recent speculation on another thread, caused me to pull out my two '27 T/ XR-6 kits. While most of the parts have come off the sprues, it is fairly clear that the XR kit, is a separate tool or insert. None on the Model T sprues have any XR parts. The XR requires a complete, separate chrome tree of it's own also. From my admittedly quick look in the box, if the XR exists (Big IF) it should be a complete batch of tooling by itself. I can see no links between the parts on the Model T portion of the Kit, and the XR-6. But that is all I can tell from looking in the Box. Maybe Round2 will find the tool and take a chance on it. Maybe the tooling is long gone. My First Guess is that it is gone, as none other than John Mueller has looked at most of the tools that AMT/Round2 still owns at various times in the last 20 years, and has not mentioned it. My second Guess is that is either hiding in plain sight, or has gotten bad enough that it can't be restored. Either way, this kit can still be found for sale fairly cheaply sometimes, and that may fill the market for XR-6 kits at this time.

Dang. I wished Revell had gone the extra mile on the 'Burban and gone 4x4. Great news on the Mazda, though.

How About the 1981-83 Chrysler Imperial? You NEVER see those any more, and they even raced NASCAR.
